3. What is Web design and development? Web design and development is an umbrella term that describes the process of creating a website. Like the name suggests, it involves two major skills sets: web design and web development. Web design determines the look and feel of a website, while web development determines how it functions. 4. HTML 5 HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language. It is used to design web pages using a markup language. HTML is an abbreviation of Hypertext and Markup language. Hypertext defines the link between the web pages. HTML 5 is the fifth and current version of HTML. Features: HTML 5 has introduced new multimedia features which supports both audio and video controls by using <audio> and <video> tags.
