3. The review of literature is a summary of all the reviews from various research literatures related to the current study carried out by a researcher. هي عبارة عن ملخص ومراجعة لمختلف الدراسات السابقة المتعلقة بالدراسة الحالية التي يجريها الباحث . It helps to discover what is already known about the research problem and what more has to be done. وهي تساعد في اكتشاف ما تم دراسته من قبل عن مشكلة البحث الحالية لدى الباحث وما يجب القيام بالبحث عنه أكثر . According to Abdellah and Levine, the material gathered in literature review should be included as a part of the research data, since it influence the problem and research design it can be used to compare the results and findings for the current study. يجب تضمين المواد التي تم جمعها من الدراسات السابقة كجزء من بيانات البحث، نظرًا لأنها تؤثر عل مشكلة البحث وتصميم البحث ويمكن استخدامها لمقارنة النتائج ومآتم إكتشافه في الدراسة الحالية. 4. Introduction Review of literature is one of the most important steps in the research process. It is an account of what is already known about a particular phenomenon. The main purpose of literature review is to convey to the readers about the work already done & the knowledge & ideas that have been already established on a particular topic of research. Literature review is a difficult task, but it is essential if the research process is to be successful.

DEFINITION of Literature Review A literature review is an assessment of a body of research that addresses a research question. هو عملية بحث منهجية وشاملة لجميع أنواع الكتابات المنشورة بغرض تحديد مجموعة واسعة من المراجع الجيدة ذات الصلة بموضوع معين. . An organized written presentation of what has been published on a topic by the scholars. - وهي رصد وتوثيق وتقييم لكل ماتم كتابته عن موضوع معين من قبل الباحثين والعلماء - قد يكون جزء من تقرير بحثي او بحث علمي للنشر في الدوريات العلمية او رسالة بحثية لدرجة علمية كالماجستير والدكتوراة أو لمشروع التخرج لدرجة البكالوريوس .

Purpose of Review of Literature It helps to identify what is already known about a research problem . يساعد على تحديد ما هو معروف وماتم إكتشافه من قبل حول مشكلة البحث التي تؤرق الباحث It helps to build on previous knowledge. يساعد على بناء معرفة جديدة بناءً على المعرفة السابقة . مقارنة النتائج السابقة بنتائج بحثك. Many published research studies contain recommendation for future research, from which we can get idea for a new research study. تحتوي العديد من الدراسات البحثية المنشورة على توصيات لأبحاث مستقبلية، والتي يمكننا من خلالها الحصول على فكرة لدراسة بحثية جديدة. It makes researcher know what research has already been done in a particular area so as to avoid duplication . يجعل الباحث يعرف ما تم البحث عنه وإكتشافه بالفعل في مجال معين أو حول مشكلة بحثية معينة لتجنب التكرار . تجنب تكرار الدراسات السابقة ؟!!!!

Identify questions a body of research does not answer تحديد الأسئلة التي لا يجيب عليها البحث الذي يقوم به الباحث It helps researcher to get acquainted with the relevant theory, strategies, tools and instruments for conducting the research . ي ساعد الباحث على التعرف على النظريات والاستراتيجيات والأدوات والأجهزة ذات الصلة لإجراء البحث . It helps to understand the different ways of conducting the research study, and It helps to identify comparative data so helps in interpretation and discussion of previous study. يساعد على فهم الطرق المختلفة لإجراء الدراسة البحثية و يساعد على تحديد البيانات المقارنة وبالتالي يساعد في تفسير ومناقشة الدراسات السابقة . الاستفادة من اخطاء ونقص وعثرات وثغرات الأبحاث السابقة.

Purpose of Review of Literature ( Cont ) معرفة ماكتبه العلماء والباحثون الأخرون من نظريات ومقترحات وأفكار عن موضوع البحث. تحليل وتقييم الأبحاث السابقة وصلاحيتها لموضوع البحث. معرفة الإطار النظري والفرضيات المناسبة لمجال البحث. معرفة المنهجية البحثية (طرق وأدوات الدراسة) المناسبة او النموذج (model) المناسب لموضوع البحث . تحديد الفجوة البحثية أو المعرفية ( Knowledge gap ) في هذا المجال وايضا النقاط التي لم تدرس بشكل كافِ أو تلك التي مازالت قيد النقاش. . التركيز على الموضوع وصياغة مشكلة البحث بصورة دقيقة ومحددة. . إيجاد مبررات قوية تدعم ضرورة القيام بدراستك.

It should be reproducible. It should be free from bias. It should be well written. It should be in the form of sum of its parts. It should be clearly searched and selected. Accurate references should be given in the review.

Evaluative Review Evaluative Review is a type of literature review which focus on providing a discussion of the literature in terms of its coverage and contribution to knowledge in particular area. It is often used to directly compare research findings of a project with other when findings are directly available. المراجعة التقييمية هي نوع من مراجعة الدراسات السابقة التي تركز على تقديم مناقشة حولها من حيث تغطيتها ومساهمتها في المعرفة في مجال معين.

Exploratory Review This type of literature review which is seeking to find out what actually exists in the academic literature in terms of theory, empirical evidence and research methods as they relate to specific research topic and its related wider subject area. It is also used to sharpen, focus and identify research questions that remain unanswered in the specific topic. هذا النوع من مراجعة الدراسات السابقة يسعى إلى معرفة ما هو موجود بالفعل في الدراسات الأكاديمية من حيث النظريات والأدلة التجريبية وطرق البحث فيما يتعلق بموضوع بحث محدد ومجاله الأوسع. كما يستخدم أيضًا لشحذ وتركيز وتحديد أسئلة البحث التي تظل دون إجابة في الموضوع المحدد.

It is not designed nor to identify the state of current knowledge in an area but to identify the best way to carry out a research without acquire unnecessary and unavoidable cost. هذا النوع من مراجعة الدراسات السابقة يسعى إلى معرفة كيفية إجراء بعض الأبحاث حول مشكلة بحثية محددة بشكل كبير . ولا يهدف هذا النوع من المراجعة إلى تحديد حالة المعرفة الحالية في مجال ما، بل إلى تحديد أفضل طريقة لإجراء بحث دون تحمل تكاليف غير ضرورية ولا مفر منها.

Traditional or Narrative Review of Literature This method uses more well defined approach, mainly used for making a complete list of all published and unpublished studies relating to a particular topic . تستخدم هذه الطريقة نهجًا أكثر تحديدًا، ويُستخدم بشكل أساسي لإعداد قائمة كاملة بكل الدراسات المنشورة وغير المنشورة المتعلقة بموضوع معين. Systemic Review of Literature This type of review takes large quantitate findings and conducts a statistical analysis to integrate those findings enhance understanding . يقوم هذا النوع من المراجعة بأخذ نتائج كمية كبيرة وإجراء تحليل إحصائي لدمج هذه النتائج وتعزيز الفهم. Meta Analysis This is a non-statistical method used to integrate and evaluate and interpret the findings of multiple similar quantitative studies, to identify the common elements . وهي طريقة غير إحصائية تستخدم لدمج وتقييم وتفسير نتائج العديد من الدراسات الكمية المتشابهة، لتحديد العناصر المشتركة.
