2. INTRODUCTION TO PRINT MEDIA Print media is a printed version of telling new through news papers and magazines. Before the invention and wide spread use of printing press, hand written news was circulated. In some countries it was chiseled on walls. And in some countries it was posted on walls or read out to the public in town squares .

10. History of news paper News paper in modern form originated in 17 th century in Europe. The first daily newspaper was ‘LONDON DAILY’ started in 1702. The first newspaper in the United States of America was ‘BOSTON NEWS LETTER’ started in 1704. By the 19 th century a lot of news agencies were established.

20. The Tribune The Tribune is the  3rd most popular English daily in India  which was founded in 1881 and was first issued in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia , a public-spirited benefactor and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees. The Tribune is the largest selling  English  daily in  North India , publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. The Tribune has two sister publications,  Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi) .

21. Punjab Kesari Another Hindi-language  daily newspaper  which was founded in 1965 and now owned by the Punjab Kesari Group. The  newspaper  is published from five centers such as Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi. It was first launched by  Lala Jagat Narain  and got the most popular when it worked against terrorism in Punjab from 1981 to 1984. The company also provided help to the terrorism-affected families.
