BROADCAST ADVERTISING (PAHWA, 2019) A mass- market form of communication includes television and radio. It has been the most dominant way to reach many consumers.

Also known as out- of- home (OOH) advertising, this is a broad term that describes any type of advertising that reaches consumers when they are away from home. Think of billboards, bus shelter posters, fly posters, and even those big digital boards in Guadalupe, Makati. OUTDOOR ADVERTISING (PAHWA, 2019)

PUBLIC SERVICE ADVERTISING (PAHWA, 2019) Unlike traditional commercials, Public Service Advertisements (PSA) are primarily designed to inform and educate rather than sell a product or service.

PRODUCT PLACEMENT ADVERTISING (PAHWA, 2019) is the promotion of branded goods and services within the context of a show or movie, rather than as an explicit advertisement.

ADVERTISING STANDARD COUNCIL OR ASC currently handles the screening of all forms of advertising and settles all disputes concerning advertising content.

MAIN FUNCTIONS OF ASC Screening of advertisements, with or without advertising claims. Hearing of disputes on advertisements that pertain to the content of the advertisements. Resolution of dispute on advertisements arising from procedures of the ASC.

IMPORTANCE OF ASC It ensures that advertising is truthful and accurate. Upholds the integrity and credibility of advertising , makes it a more powerful tool to influence consumer purchase.
