Snapshot
At Fine Tubes, we are specialist manufacturers of high precision metal tubes in
Stainless Steel, Nickel and Titanium alloys.
Founded in 1947, Fine Tubes can offer over 60 years experience in the precision
engineering industry sector. We support our customers from the initial design, the
right material selection through to the production, test certification and delivery
of the tubes. Our reputation for quality and reliability, drive for innovation in
materials, exceptional customer service and continuous improvement underlines
our strong commitment to high specification tubing. It is our aim to provide
our global customers with a clear competitive advantage based on outstanding
quality and innovation.
The tubular products we develop are for niche markets. They are designed for
critical tolerance applications in the most challenging environments and need to
withstand extreme conditions. The standards and specifications for these tubes
and coils are extremely high and serve a wide range of markets.

Our Products
Fine Tubes manufactures tubes in two principle forms:
• Seamless stainless steel, nickel and titanium tubes in straight length,
precision cut or coils from 1 mm (0.040”) OD to 50 mm (2”) OD.

• Welded, welded & drawn or bead reduced stainless steel tubes and nickel
tubing in straight length, precision cut or coils from 1 mm (0.040”) OD to
50 mm (2”) OD.
Available profiles include not only round but also rectangular, square, oval
and elliptical and other profiles.
Our Size Range
Fine Tubes produce precision tubes in the following size range
• Seamless

• Welded
min OD max OD
4 mm 40 mm
3 mm 30 mm

Our Markets
Aerospace: Fine Tubes is a tubing supplier to the aerospace industry for many of today's leading programs. Typical
materials used for the aviation industry are excellent weight: strength ratio materials such as Titanium 3Al2.5, 6Al4 and
425, CP and also high temperature Nickel Alloys, stainless grades such as 21-6-9. We have achieved Nadcap approval for
heat treatment, NDT and laboratory testing of our tubing.

We are serving markets where we can demonstrate technological leadership, such as:
Oil & Gas: Fine Tubes are used in the most challenging subsea and downhole conditions in seawater and sour oil well
environments. Materials used are Austenitic, Super Austenitic, Duplex, Super Duplex, Titanium and Nickel Alloys. Seamless
tubes are used for hydraulic and instrumentation applications, in onshore control panels, topside processing facilities, on
subsea manifolds and templates up to 2,000 m. Seam welded & redrawn tubes with orbital joints are used for umbilicals,
subsea control lines and chemical injection tubes. We can produce straight lengths or coils up to 10,000 m long.
Chemical Process: Fine Tubes are used for applications as diverse as flow meters, measurements systems, condenser
tubes, shell and heat exchanger tubes, paper production and acetic alloy plants. Typically in standard or modified analysis
Austenitic stainless grades with bore quality typically 0.1μm Ra (0.15μ" Ra) or better. Material may be AOD melt or refined
by further vacuum melt procedures. Tubes are used as manufactured or in final electro polished condition.
Semiconductor: Fine Tubes are used for Semiconductor manufacturing, Chromatography, High Performance Liquid
Chromatography (HPLC tubing), Ultra High Purity (UHP) and specialist medical applications. Our UHP tubes are used
throughout the semiconductor wafer processing and medical industries. Our HPLC tubing is at the forefront of the technology,
providing unparalleled peak performance thanks to innovative manufacturing methods and processing control.
Nuclear & Power: Fine Tubes are proud to be a long established supplier to the Nuclear Industry. Our core products
include modified Stainless Steels used for fuel pins and tie bars, Zirconium alloys for fuel cans, Nickel alloys for steam
generator tubing. We are also a volume producer of stainless control & instrumentation tubing which is used for AGR/ PWR/
CANDU and NPCIL programs. For the power industry generally, we provide a range of products from turbine generator
stator cooling conductors to heat exchanger to FGD applications.
Medical: Fine Tubes medical tubing includes both dental tubing and surgical tubing. Our process capability delivers
precise control of tube dimensions - typically h8 for OD control and with ID surface finish to a smoothness of 0.2 microns
achieved by electro polishing. We produce tubes for trauma and orthopedic implants (cannulated bar), surgical instruments,
catheters, stents and orthodontic applications. Materials include Titanium Alloys, conventional or vacuum melt Stainless
Steels in circular, or bespoke interior or exterior profiles.
Our Service
