ABSTRACT
TheInternetofThings(IoT)hasrevolutionizedthewayweinteractwithour
surroundings,enablingseamlesscommunicationbetweendevicesandtheinternet.Inthis
project,weproposeanIoT-basedDoorSecurityAlarmsystemthatiscontrolledby
GoogleAssistant.Thesystemaimstoenhancehomesecuritybyprovidingremote
monitoringandcontrolofadooralarmthroughvoicecommandsusingGoogleAssistant.
Thecorecomponentsofthesystemincludeadoorsensor,amicrocontroller(suchas
ArduinoorRaspberryPi),aninternetconnectionmodule(suchasWi-FiorEthernet),
andintegrationwiththeGoogleAssistantplatform.Thedoorsensordetectsthestateof
thedoor(openorclosed)andrelaysthisinformationtothemicrocontroller.The
microcontrollerprocessesthesensordataandcommunicateswiththeinternetmoduleto
connecttothecloud.

INTRODUCTION
Theevolutionoftechnologyhasledtothecreationofsmarterandmoreconnectedhomes
throughtheInternetofThings(IoT).IoTreferstotheinterconnectionofeverydayobjectsand
devicestotheinternet,enablingthemtocollectandexchangedataforimprovedfunctionality
andconvenience.OneoftheareaswhereIoThasmadesignificantstridesishomesecurity,
whereinnovativesolutionsarebeingdevelopedtoenhancesafetyandmonitoring.
ThisprojectpresentsanIoT-basedDoorSecurityAlarmsystemthatleveragesthecapabilities
ofIoTtechnologyandintegrateswiththewidelyusedvoice-controlledplatform,Google
Assistant.Thesystemaimstoaddressthesecurityconcernsassociatedwithhomeentrances,
providinguserswiththeabilitytomonitorandcontroltheirdooralarmremotelyusingvoice
commands.BycombiningIoTdevices,microcontrollers,internetconnectivity,andGoogle
Assistantintegration,thisprojectshowcasesanovelapproachtomodernizinghomesecurity
systems.

EXISTINGSYSTEM
BeforedelvingintotheproposedIoT-basedDoorSecurityAlarmcontrolledbyGoogle
Assistant,it'simportanttounderstandtheexistingsystemsandchallengesassociated
withtraditionaldoorsecuritymethods.
Traditionaldoorsecuritysystemstypicallyinvolvestandalonealarms,keypads,and
manualmonitoring.Thesesystemsareoftenlimitedintheircapabilitiesandmayrequire
physicalpresencetoarmordisarmthealarm.Somemayofferbasicremotemonitoring
throughSMSalertsorphonecalls,buttheylacktheseamlessintegrationand
conveniencethatIoTtechnologycanprovide.

forallusers.

smarthomeecosystemsandvoice-controlledplatformsisoftencomplexand
requirestechnicalexpertise.

The proposed solution to the challenges outlined in the problem definition is the
development and implementation of an IoT-based Door Security Alarm system
controlledbyGoogleAssistant.Thissolutionleveragescutting-edgetechnologiesto
providearobust,user-friendly,andhighlyeffectivedoorsecurity system.
