2 FLOW CHART – Phase-1 Iron Ore is processed at our Sponge Iron Unit to obtain the primary raw material i.e. Sponge Iron. Stringent quality measures are undertaken at our Sponge Iron Unit to ensure the highest quality of raw materials.

3 SPONGE IRON Direct-reduced iron (DRI), also called sponge iron is produced from the direct reduction of iron ore (in the form of lumps, pellets or fines) to iron by a reducing gas produced from coal. Sponge iron is a metallic product which is used as a substitute and is mainly used in steel making through the primary route. The process of sponge iron making aims to remove the oxygen from iron ore. www.pulkittmt.in

DRI PROCESS STEP BY STEP Direct reduction process start by maintaining temperature inside the KILN from 800 O C TO 1100 O C by blowing of primary and secondary air through blower in 7 temperature zone Produced sponge iron is then cooled in a rotary cooling drum by indirect water spraying over the drum and thus cool the temperature of the finish output to below 100 o C 5

DRI PROCESS STEP BY STEP Separate the Magnetic (Sponge Iron) and non Magnetic particle (Ash, Charcoal) in Product Separation Bin by magnetic separator. FINALLY WE GET SPONGE I RON 6
