Introduction to E3TM Section E3TM (Electrical – 3 Phase Traction Motors) section, Itarsi Loco Shed ka ek important hissa hai jo mainly 3-phase traction motors ki inspection, maintenance, testing aur troubleshooting karta hai . Ye section ensure karta hai ki traction motors reliable tarike se kaam kare , jiske liye ye kaam kiya jata hai : 1. Overhauling aur periodic maintenance 2. Electrical aur mechanical testing of motors 3. Fault diagnosis aur rectification 4. Cleaning, insulation testing aur rewinding (agar zarurat ho) E3TM section locomotives ko operational rakhne me ek vital role play karta hai , kyunki traction motors locomotive ke primary driving components hote hain.

NDE Bearing Yeh ek Cylindrical Roller Bearing hai . Iska main kaam ek ghoomti hui shaft ko sahara dena , friction ( gharshan ) kam karna , aur kaafi zyada radial load ko handle karna hai . Iske rollers, races (bearing ke inner aur outer rings) ke saath ek seedhi line mein contact banate hain, jiski vajah se iski load uthane ki capacity bohot zyada hoti hai .
Rotor ( three phase traction motor )
Rotor Yeh motor ka Rotor hai . Jaisa naam se pata chalta hai , yeh motor ka rotating ( ghoomne wala ) hissa hai . Kaam (Function): Jab Stator apni ghoomne wali magnetic field banata hai , to yeh Rotor us magnetic field ke saath interact karke tezi se ghoomne lagta hai . Iske ghoomne se hi mechanical energy paida hoti hai , jo aage shaft ke zariye train ke pahiyon (wheels) tak pahunchti hai . Banavat (Construction): Yeh patli-patli lohe ki plates (laminations) ko ek saath jodkar banaya gaya hai . Aisa isliye kiya jaata hai taaki energy loss (eddy current loss) kam se kam ho . Is design ko aamtaur par Squirrel Cage Rotor kehte hain. Shaft: Rotor ke beech mein se ek moti rod ( danda ) guzar rahi hai , jise Shaft kehte hain. Jab Rotor ghoomta hai , to yeh shaft bhi ghoomti hai .
Stator ( three phase traction motor )
Stator Yeh motor ka Stator hai , jo motor ka stationary ( na ghoomne wala ) hissa hota hai . Kaam (Function): Iska sabse main kaam hai ghoomne wali magnetic field (Rotating Magnetic Field) banana. Jab iske andar lagi copper windings mein three-phase AC supply di jaati hai , to ek powerful magnetic field paida hoti hai jo gol-gol ghoomti hai . Body/Frame: Yeh jo poori grey color ki body aap dekh rahe hain, yeh Stator ka बाहरी cover hai . Yeh motor ke nazuk internal parts ko bachata hai aur motor ko thanda rakhne mein bhi madad karta hai . Terminal Box: Motor ke upar jo chota sa box laga hai , woh Terminal Box hai . Yahin par bahar se aane wali power supply ke taar (cables) jode jaate hain.
