2. Jidoka is a Japanese word that means Autonomation
Autonomation – Automation with human intelligence.
It’s a practice of stopping the process when something goes wrong.
Originally, this concept was first used in 1896 by Sakichi Toyoda.
He first invented a textile loom that would stop automatically when it
comes across a defective thread.
This seemed to be very useful in terms of: Time, Quality & Cost

3. Jidoka allows the operation to have a build in quality at each step of a
process, so the operators does not have to watch the machine or the
operation all the time.
Jidoka is based on :
Don’t accept defects
