2. JoSAA 20 20 COUNSELLING The Joint Seat Allocation Authority ( JoSAA) 2020  has been set up by the Ministry of Education [erstwhile Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD)] to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 110 institutes for the academic year 2020-21. This includes 23 IITs,  31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 29 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). Admission to all the academic programs offered by these Institutes will be made through a single platform

JoSAA 20 20 ELIGIBILITY Eligibility For B.E. or B.Tech . and Others Courses Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination (Applicable only for candidates seeking admission to JoSSA Counseling ) Candidates must PASS class XII exam with the following subjects: i . Physics ii. Chemistry iii. Mathematics iv. A language v. Any subject other than the above four

5. Eligibility For Architecture Courses Secure a rank in JEE Main 20 20 Paper 2 for admission to B.Arch./ B.Planning courses at NITs, IIEST, IIITs and Other – GFTIs. For IITs, candidates should qualify in AAT (Architecture Aptitude Test) conducted by JAB (Joint Apex Board) Should have Mathematics as one of the subjects in Class XII (or equivalent) examination

9. STEP 1 – ONLINE REGISTRATION For Online Registration Login by entering your JEE Roll No. and Password.

10. Click on the given checkbox for Declaration and click on ‘SUBMIT’ button.

11. STEP 2 – FILL CHOICE OF PROGRAME After that, click on the ‘Choice Filling’ tab for filling the choices regarding universities.

12. After selecting choices, lock the choices by clicking on ‘Lock Choice’ and then click on ‘SAVE & CONTINUE’ button

13. STEP 4 – FEE PAYMENT Candidate will have to pay the JoSAA 20 20 seat Acceptance Fee for finalizing their seat, at the time of seat Acceptance and which will be adjusted in his/her institution Fee For the candidate who belongs to JoSAA 20 20 seat Acceptance Fee for General Category or Foreign aspirant the fee to be submitted at the time of seat allotment is Rs. 3 5,000 / Candidates belong to SC, ST, Gen-PwD, OBC – NCL –PwD, SC – PwD or ST – PwD category must pay the Rs. 15 ,000 /- for JoSAA 20 20 Seat Acceptance fee

14. JoSAA 20 20 FREEZE, FLOAT AND SLIDE OPTIONS S.NO . OPTION DEFINITION 1. Freeze Candidates accept the offered seat and indicate that they are content with the allocated academic program and that they do not want to participate in further rounds of seat allocation. Such candidates will NOT be considered in subsequent rounds of admission . 2. Float Candidates accept the offered seat and indicate that, if admission to an academic program of better/higher preference in any Institute is offered, they will accept it. Else, they will continue with the currently accepted academic program. Such candidates will be considered in subsequent rounds of admission. 3. Slide Candidates accept the offered seat and indicate that, if admission to an academic program of better / higher preference is offered within the same Institute, they will accept it. Such candidates will be considered in subsequent rounds of admission.

15. JoSSA Admission Process Document List Class X Mark Sheet/Certificate, Aadhar Card (for Date of Birth) Class XII Mark Sheet and Certificate (Qualifying Examination) Certificate of category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS), if applicable, as per Government of India format, available on the JoSAA-2020 website, issued by the competent authority. In case of OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS category, the certificate must be issued on or after April 01, 2020. Please note that Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL) issued by Gujarat State must be validated by Social Welfare department (in case of SC and OBC-NCL category) and Tribal Welfare department(in case of ST category) of State Government. ST certificates Original Certificate for Persons with Disabilities ( PwD ), if applicable, issued by the competent authority. Refer JoSAA-2020 website for format. Crossed Bank Cheque copy / Image of Passbook with bank account details

17. JoSSA Admission Process Document List Medical Certificate (in specified Format available on JoSAA-2020 format) OCI/PIO card, if applicable Passport (if applicable) Admit card of JEE (Main) Note: If the original certificates are not in English/Hindi, English/Hindi version/translation of such certificates, duly certified by the Principal/Director or other competent authority of the graduating Institute, will be required during the verification of documents.
