1. देवराजसे?यमानपावनां?पंकजं । ?यालय?सgमंदशेखरंू ु कपाकरमृ ् ॥
नारदा?दयोlगव?दवि?दतंृ ?दगंबर । काgशकापराlधनाथकालभैरवंु भजे ॥१॥

Deva raja sevya mana pavangri pankajam,l
Vyala yagna suthra mindu shekaram krupakaram,ll
Naradadhi yogi vrundha vandhitham digambaram,l
Kasika puradhi nadha Kalabhairavam bhaje ll 1

Who is served by the king of gods, who is pure as the lotus,
who has a snake as yagnopavita, who wears the moon as a hair ornamnet,
the bestower of mercy, lauded by the groups of yogis like Narada,
naked one, the lord of the city of Kashi, Kalabhairava I worship.


भानको?टभा?वरंु भावाि?धतारकं परं । नीलक?ठमीि?सताथ[दायकं ?लोचनम् ॥
कालकालम?बजा?म?शलम?रंु ू । काgशकापराlधनाथकालभैरवंु भजे ॥२॥

Bhanu koti bhaswaram, bhavabdhi tharakam param,l
Neelakanda meepsidartha dayakam trilochanam ll
Kalakala mambujaksha maksha soola maksharam,l
Kasika puradhi nadha Kalabhairavam bhaje ll 2

Who shines like millions of suns, who destroys the bonds of existence,
the Highest, the blue throated, who grants wishes,
the three eyed one whose eyes are like lotus,
who destroys death with his trident, the lord of the city of Kashi, Kalabhairava I worship.


शलटंकपाशद?डपाhणमा?दकारणंू । ?यामकायमा?ददेवम?रं ?नरामयम् ॥
भीमjवमं $भंु jवlचतांडवj$यं । काgशकापराlधनाु थकालभैरवं भजे ॥३॥

Soola tanga pasa danda pani madhi karanam,l
Syama kaya madhi devamaksharam niramayam ll
Bheema vikramam prabhum vichithra thandava priyam,l
Kasika puradhi nadha Kalabhairavam bhaje ll 3

Who holds, the trident, axe, noose, and staff, the primeval cause,
whose body is black, the eternal, primeval, God,
untouched by sin, whose strike is formidable, the lord,
who loves the fascinating tandava, the lord of the city of Kashi, Kalabhairava I worship.

2. भि?तमि?तदायकंु ु $श?तलोकjवहं । भ?तव?सलं ि?थतं सम?तलोकjवहं ।
jव?न?कण?मनो?हेमiकiकणीलस?क?टंं । काgशकापराlधनाथकालभैरवंु भजे ॥४॥

Bhukthi mukthi dayakam prasashtha charu vigraham,l
Bhaktha vatsalam sthitam,samastha loka vigraham ll
Vinikwanan manogna hema kinkini lasath kateem,l
Kasika puradhi nadha Kalabhairavam bhaje ll 4

Who grants worldly enjoyment and liberation, whose form is vast and shining,
who is full of love for his devotees, whose form is the entire universe,
whose waist is encircled with a belt with beautiful sounding bells,
the lord of the city of Kashi, Kalabhairava I worship.


धम[सेतपालकंु ?वधम[माग[नाशकं । कम[पाशमोचकं सशम[दायकंु jवभंु ॥
?वण[वण[शेषपाशशोgभतांगम?डलं । काgशकापराlधनाथकालभैरवंु भजे ॥५॥

Dharma sethu palakam, thwa dharma marga nasakam,l
Karma pasa mochakam,susharma dayakam vibhum ll
Swarna varna sesha pasa shobithanga mandalam,l
Kasika puradhi nadha Kalabhairavam bhaje ll 5

The Protector of the bridge of Dharma, who himself destroys the paths of adharma,
who destroys the bonds of karma, whose body shines brightly,
and whose limbs are decorated with coiled gloden snakes,
the lord of the city of Kashi, Kalabhairava I worship.


र?न५पादका$भाgभरामपादय?मकंु ु । ?न?यमि?वतीयgम?टदैवतं ?नरंजनम् ॥
म?यदप[नाशनंृु करालदं?मो?णं । काgशकापराlधनाथकालभैरवंु भजे ॥६॥

Rathna padukha prabhabhirama padayugmakam,l
Nithyamadwidheeyamishta daivatham niranjanam ll
Mrutyu darpa nasanam karaladamshtra mokshanam,l
Kasika puradhi nadha Kalabhairavam bhaje ll 6

Whose two feet are clothed in jewelled shoes, who is constant,
without a second, eternal, the chosen God,
who destroys the death and pride, who has terrifying sharp teeth,
the lord of the city of Kashi, Kalabhairava I worship.

3. अ`ाहासgभ?नप?जा?डकोशसंत?तं । ?ि?टपातन?टपापजालमशासनंु ॥
अ?टgसj?दायकं कपालमाgलकाधरं । काgशकापराlधनाथकालभैरवंु भजे ॥७॥

Attahasa binna padma janda kosa santhatheem,l
Drushti pada nashta papa jala mugra sasanam ll
Ashtasidhi dayakam kapala malikadaram,l
Kasika puradhi nadha Kalabhairavam bhaje ll 7

Whose laughter destroys the universe,
whose mere glance breaks through the terrible net of sin,
who grants the eight siddhis, who wears a garland of skulls,
the lord of the city of Kashi, Kalabhairava I worship.


भतसंघनायकंू jवशालक'?त[दायकं । काgशवासलोकप?यपापशोधकंु jवभंु ॥
नी?तमाग[कोjवदं परातनंु जग?प?तं । काgशकापराlधनाथकालभैरवंु भजे॥८॥

Bhootha sanga nayakam, vishala keerthi dayakam,l
Kasi vasa loka punya papa shodhakam vibum l1
Neethi marga kovidham purathanam jagatpathim,l
Kasika puradhi nadha Kalabhairavam bhaje ll 8

Who is the leader of the hosts of bhutas, who grants fame.
Who takes the people of Kashi beyond the world of papa and punya,
who knows the path of ethics, the ancient lord of the World,
the lord of the city of Kashi, Kalabhairava I worship.


कालभैरवा?टकं पठि?त ये मनोहरं । ?ानमि?तसाधनंु jवlचप?यवध[नंु ॥
शोकमोहदै?यलोभकोपतापनाशनम् । $याि?त कालभैरवां?सि?नlध नरा ध्?वम् ॥९॥

Kalabhairavashtakam patanthi yea manoharam,l
Jnana mukthi sadhanam,vichithra punya vardhanam ll
Soka moha dainya lopa kopa thapa nasanam,l
Thea prayanthi Kalabhairavangri saniidhim druvam ll 9

Whosoever recites these eight verses to Kalabhairava:
source of knowledge and liberation, the bestower of all kinds of punya,
the destroyer of sorrow, delusion, poverty, greed and anger,
that man will surely receive the grace of Kalabhairava.
