2. ABOUT It is located in Marathahalli, Bangalore Karunashraya meaning ‘Abode of Compassion’ a non- profitable organization. It was inspected as a registered charitable trust by the Indian Cancer Society to provide free professional palliative care for advanced stage cancer patients who are beyond cure. Karunashraya accepts only 55 bed in patients at a time and the admission rejected patient’s contact will be registered to notify them later of the availability.

3. Architectural features The building is situated in 8200 sq.Area plot and the total build up area is 3400 sq.  The building is stone structure with composite masonry The building is designed in a way that all rooms of the patients receive natural lighting and ventilation. The patients can relax with a view of greenery on one side and water on other of their ward.  The building has five to house in-patients wards.  

4. Recreational activities include indoor games, watching T.V, newspaper etc. A 100 seat auditorium is provided which is fully equipped with modern communication facilities for conferences and training. Solar energy is used to serve power to the lightning in the wards and also exterior.  The entrance drive way to the parking is shaded by several trees. The entry towards the building is designed elegantly with the stone structure, creeepers and flowers

6. The NIFT site is located on old Mahabalipuram road. The Site is triangular flanked by roads on two sides and elevated railway line on the third. The elevated railway line intersects the old Mahabalipuram road at a very sharp angle, which is a unique aspect of the site and has been carried through to the built form.

7. Concept a triangular cousin of the Rubik's cube that one of his associates had brought into the office one moming . The colorful triangles of the toy rendered a vibrant composition of peaks and niches that inspired Mohe towards the playful design of the roadside façade at NIFT, Chennai. These triangular pockets are devised as wind catchers. They also act as a buffer from the harsh Chennai sun and the noise from the busy road.

8. About Before entering the campus of NIFT, one is given a colorful opening of planes apparent in the front facade. The structure builds up a more playful character for a school that indulges in fashion Being a masonry building, it offers a layered experience textured and surprising. Walking through the building reveals a complex arrangement of corridors, staircases and walkways. The building has a variety of spaces, spaces that the students value greatly as they offer them the buffer for different activities.
