GENERAL MANAGER MR RAJAT SETHI Fairmont Jaipur announced the appointment of Rajat Sethi as the new general manager with a wealth of spanning experience of over 25 years in the hospitality industry Sethi brings a dynamic blend of leadership, operational expertise, and a proven track record of success to his new role . Sethi will work closely with the hotel's leadership team to develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at driving revenue growth. Prior to joining Fairmont Jaipur, his most recent position as general ,manager, at ITC Grand Bharat, a Luxury Collection Retreat and ITC Classic Golf and Country Club, where he has held since 2020 .

Tranquil gardens and broad avenues, which were painted pink in 1876 to welcome the Prince of Wales, add to the historic charm and rich culture of this unforgettable city. We welcome you to Fairmont Jaipur. This is an amalgamation of a Fort and a Palace. The concept behind this beautiful edifice is to portray the romance of an era gone by, where warring princes conquered city after city and established their reign by constructing breathtakingly beautiful forts in this desert state. The fort has both traditional Rajasthani and Mughal influences.
MAIN PORCH The entry to the fort is through the massive wooden doors which are also known as “ Jaislmeri Gate”. Like olden times, the big doors were only opened for ceremonial processions. The crush of gravel stones on the pathway meant to indicate the arrival of tidings on horse and elephant back.
Welcome to Charbagh. This courtyard gets its name from the four gardens which are geometrically equal from all sides and each gardens have 64 plants on each section that flanks it accompanied by the gentle tickling of water from a fountain in the middle. If you turn to the left, we enter the palace through an anteroom . Once , you ar e i n th e ‘Char Baugh ’ or th e garden area , wher e you ca n relax. The ‘Jarokhas’ overlook th e garden. Charbagh Rang Mahal The beautiful sounds of the santoor streams in as you enter. And the ceiling depicts 60 nritya mudras or dancing figurines in fresco work. The ceremonial silver doors on both the sides depict the riches of the royals. The anteroom leads you into the Lobby or the erstwhile Durbar hall.
FRONT OFFICE [ Durbar Hall ] Front office is the first department of hotel which comes in guest contact, at the time of guest arrival and the last department when they depart from the hotel. A hotel front desk agent is responsible for managing guest check-ins and check-outs and making sure that each customer has a positive and memorable stay. This beautiful Durbar / Lobby has intricate Thekri glass work and hand painted murals. The reception alcove, fanned by swaying pankhas. We welcome our guest by safa and bangles . Safa for the male guest and bangles for the female guest . As in our hotel we treat male guest as king and female guest as queen .
Anjum The Bar As you look up, the ornately done up and a handcrafted wall fresco brightens up the ambience. This Anjum, which means Star . And star indeed it is, as indicated by the star shaped floor and the constellation of lights in the form of a massive iron chandelier. The large arched windows looks out over an indescribable sight, ideal to relax and lay back to enjoy romantic sunsets. Afternoon tea is also served here . In the evenings, indulge your senses to dancing and singing so inherent of the rich culture and heritage of Rajasthan .

Zoya Zoya which is our All Day Dining restaurant. Zoya means sunlight and is an apt venue for breakfast and any meals throughout the day, this outlet is easily accessible from every where. Meals can be taken on the several levels of terrace outside, or within a tented Shamian . The Zoya terrace has a pond which consists different fishes in it which are sign of good luck and also our guest can feed them by borrowing food from Zoya.
We have 245 rooms which includes 7 suites. Rooms are a minimum of 50 sqmtrs with some having extra depth in places to give the tower articulation. The bathroom takes about one third of the space which is fairly large. The bathing area is the best feature of our rooms. It is covered in polished plaster under avaulted roof and a beautiful flooring done up in a complex geometric pattern of stars and lozenges as in the Muslim tradition. Between the cubicles is the focal bath tub, a unique feature to provide the royal feel for guests who want to pamper themselves in indulgent baths . In the club rooms the walls are a distressed gold colour .
Reflective Pool Flaming torches light up in the evening and the Palace reflects on the ever ending water body, aptly named the Reflective Pool. We provide a Unique Dining Experience which turns moments into memories. The Swimming Pool A short walk down the steps leads us to the swimming pool. The Pool has been constructed in the shape of a” Chaupar board”, a very old game believed to have been invented in the 4thcentury. The pool has the speciality that it is a temperature setting pool.

Old is Gold Here we have a prized feature of the Fairmont. A 400 years old doorway specially brought in from an old fort in Jodhpur. It adorns our entry into the Palace on the eastern side of the Palace. The Parrot Story The signature feature in all Fairmont rooms is the parrot. You can see them hanging in all rooms, on paintings and murals across the palace or embroidered on beautiful cushion covers. When princes of yore travelled extensively, the ladies of the harem would entertain themselves by keeping parrots for company & also the princes wanted to know what the ladies are talking behind them. We have recreated the same romance for all our guests in the rooms.

In fact, the convention centre at Fairmont Jaipur is one of the largest spaces available in Northern India . Grand Ballroom is the biggest banquet hall with 10457Sq. Feet, the biggest hall in Jaipur. Conclusion It was really a pleasure doing my training in Fairmont as it helped me lot in grooming myself. Basically, I learnt that one needs to constantly improve & improvise because this is just the beginning of a long road ahead … full of challenges.
