2. 1.HISTROY OF KHO KHO GAME KHO KHO word is obtained from Sanskrit word sue which means get up and go . In 1925 kho kho rule book has been published. In 1936 berlin Olympics ( Germany )given demonstration by AMSSM. In 1955 kkfi (kho kho federation of india ) is formed. In 1959-60 1 st senior national kho kho championship for men is conducted AP (Vijayawada). In 1960-61 1 st senior national kho kho championship for women is conducted in MH ( Kolhapur ). In 1996 Akkf ( Asian kho kho federation ) is formed in west Bengal Kolkata. In 1996 1 st Asian kho kho championship is held in Kolkata 5 countries are participated The countries are 1.india 2.Pakistan 3.srilanaka 4.Nepal 5.Bangladesh

The countries are 1.india 2.Pakistan 3.srilanka 4.Nepal 5.Bangladesh 6.japan 7.Thailand In 2016 3 rd Asian kho kho championship is held in india( mp ). The countries are 1.india 2.Pakistan 3.srilanka 4.Nepal 5.Bangladesh 6.korea In 1982 demonstrated in Asian games ( INDIA ) In 9170 junior national kho kho championship is conducted for boys. In 1972 junior national kho kho championship is conducted for girls.

4. 2.Classification in kho kho 1.According to akkf ( Asian kho kho federation ) a . senior men and women b . juniors boys and girls ( 18 years & below ) – 250 points and below. c . sub juniors boys and girls ( 14 years & below ). Index formula = height in cm +weight in kgs + age in years Example =150+50+14= 214 points under sub junior 2. according to sgfi ( school games federation ) A. under- 14 boys and girls – 3 rd class to 5 th class B. under- 17 boys and girls – 6 th to 12 th class C. under-19 boys and girls – 9 th to 12 th class

Post to post distance is called kho kho court =24 x16 m With free zones is called ko kho filed = 27 x16m With lobbies is called kho kho ground=30 x 19m In kho kho game has 8 cross lanes & 8 chaser lanes The full court diagonal is 31.40 m Post line to 1 st cross lane distance is 2.55 m Distance between cross lanes is 2.30m Width of the cross lane is 35 cm Chaser block measurements = 35 x 30 cm

9. 4.Duration of the kho kho game In kho kho 2 turns = one innings In kho kho game consist of 4 turns = two innings Each turn duration is 9 minutes for seniors and juniors time gap or rest period is 3 minutes for seniors and juniors The total duration for seniors and juniors 9 – 3 – 9 – 6 – 9 – 3 – 9 = 48 minutes Each turn duration is 7 minutes sub juniors time gap or rest period is 3 minutes for sub juniors The total duration for sub juniors 7 – 3 – 7 – 5 – 7 – 3 – 7 = 39 minutes

10. 5. Tie situation in kho kho game For knock tournament Extra inning is conducted that means 9 – 3 – 9 & 7 – 3 – 7 Winning team will go for further matches Again tie will go for minimum chase For league tournament If wining team = 3 points If losing team = zero points If tie = each one point

12. 7.Rules of the kho kho game In kho kho game 8 chasers are sitting in alternate position chaser is a active chaser & active runner Referee will check the runners, chasers, umpires then he is informed to the timer keeper will started the match. If 1 st runner is out then next set runners be ready at entry zone If 3 runners are out with in two khos only next set runners are enter, if incase not enter then opponent team can give more than two khos that time the runners are out. The next set runners need to enter with in 15 minutes. if incase not entered the set runners can be considered as late out.

14. 8.officials 1. referee He need to verify the court, ground, poles Unbalanced situation between two umpires need to give better solution. He will indicate the yellow and red cards In minimum chase started ,closed and results are declared by referee. 2.Umpire The umpires will stand at lobbies near the side and verify the fouls and mistakes need to correct the fouls and mistakes. Umpires will give outs and cards also 3.Time keeper With referee permission he start the match , each and every turn start and closed.
