Transition to Circle Time 1
Engaging Activities
While singing a transition song, the teacher tells them that it’s time to play games. When the learners are ready, the teacher proceeds with
the planned activities.
ACTIVITY 1:COLOR FREEZE DANCE
Instructions:
The teacher will play music and have the kids dance around.
When the music stops, call out a color.
Children must find an object of that color and freeze next to it.
If they don't find the correct color, they're out for that round.
The last child standing wins.
ACTIVITY 2:COLOR HUNT
Materials Needed: Color cards, bondpaper, markers.
Instructions:
The teacher will give each child a clipboard with a color card or swatch attached.
They then walk around the room or outdoors (if possible) to find objects that match the colors on their cards.
When they find an object, they can draw or write what it is on their clipboard.
For example, if they have a blue card, they can draw a blue ball they find.
At the end, gather to share what they found.
Transition to Health Break/
Quiet /NapTime
The teacher commends the learners for the work they did in Circle Time 1 and tells them to prepare for recess time/health break by
sanitizing their hands.
After their health break, the teacher reminds the children to pack away the things they used during recess time, clean up their eating area,
throw their trash in the trash bin, sanitize their hands, and have their Quiet Time.
Supervised Recess
(15 Minutes - 9:10am-9:25am)
ACTIVITY 3: TRAFFIC LIGHT EATING GAME
Materials Needed: Red, yellow, and green cards or circles, snacks of the learners
Instructions:
Explain the concept of "traffic light eating" (red for stop, yellow for slow down, green for go).
Let students participate in preparing their own healthy snacks.
Have learners sort them into the corresponding categories.
Discuss why some foods are "red" (less healthy) and others are "green" (healthier).
Used during the Regional Training of Division Trainers and School Leaders on the MATATAG Curriculum

Quiet/Nap Time
(10 Minutes - 9:25am-9:35am)
ACTIVITY 4: GUIDED IMAGERY
Instructions:
Have children lie down comfortably on mats or blankets.
Guide them through a calming visualization, such as imagining they are floating on a cloud, exploring a peaceful
garden, or swimming in a calm ocean.
Soften her voice to have soothing voice to describe the scenes and encourage deep breathing
Transition to Circle Time 2
After the Nap Time activity, the teacher plays soft, soothing music or use gentle chimes to signal the end of nap time. This helps children
wake up calmly
Circle Time 2
(40 Minutes - 9:35am-9:15am)
ACTIVITY 5: COLORS SORTING and COUNTING
Divide the learners into small groups.
Give each group a set of color flashcards and a pile of objects in various colors.
Ask the students to sort the objects into groups based on their colors. They can use the flashcards as guides.
After sorting, they count how many objects are in each color group.
Use number cards for each color group and have students match the correct number to the objects
The teacher will walk around to each group, providing guidance and support as needed.
ACTIVITY 6: COLORFUL NUMBER LINE
The teacher creates a large number line on the wall or floor.
She will assign each number a different color using markers or colored dots/stickers.
The teacher will show numbered cards to the students and ask them to place the cards on the correct spot on the number line
based on the color.
Transition to Indoor/Outdoor
Play
The teacher reminds the learners about the time left in Circle Time 2 around 15 minutes before Indoor Activity/Light Physical Activity.
After 10 minutes, the teacher tells the learners to start packing away the materials they used and be ready for Indoor/Light Physical
Activity. A transition song or countdown may be used.
Indoor/Outdoor Play
(35 Minutes 9:15am-9:50am)
ACTIVITY 7: COLORFUL OBSTACLE COURSE
The teacher sets up an obstacle course with colored markers or cones.
Each color represents a different action or movement (e.g., red = hop, blue = crawl).
Learners move through the course, following the colors and performing the corresponding actions.
Transition to Wrap-Up Time
The teacher tells the learners to help pack away the materials they used in the Indoor Activity/Light Physical Activity time and get
ready to do the wrap-up activities. A transition song or countdown may be used.
Used during the Regional Training of Division Trainers and School Leaders on the MATATAG Curriculum

Wrap-Up Time
(20 Minutes 9:50am-10:10am)
The teacher will recall the activities of the day through sharing and a saying “Ang pagtinabangay nagpadayon makahatag ug
kinabuhing hapsay” to process learning insights or moral lessons from the activities on how to apply the learnings at home.
Dismissal Time
The teacher reminds the learners to sanitize their hands and to always follow the health protocols.
REMARKS
REFLECTION Reflect on your teaching and assess yourself as a teacher. Think about your student’s progress this week. What works? What else needs to
be done to help the students learn? Identify what help your instructional supervisors can provide for you so when you meet them, you can
ask them relevant questions.
A.No. of learners who earned
80% in the evaluation.
B.No. of learners who require
additional activities for
remediation.
C.Did the remedial lessons
work? No. of learners who
have caught up with the
lesson.
D.No. of learners who continue
to require remediation
E.Which of my teaching
strategies worked well? Why
Used during the Regional Training of Division Trainers and School Leaders on the MATATAG Curriculum

did this work?
F.What difficulties did I
encounter which my principal
or supervisor can help me
solve?
G.What innovation or localized
materials did I use/discover
which I wish to share with
other teachers?
