Ruffled curtains are ideal for sheer or medium weight fabrics and can be tied back or made to overlap. They are usually used in bedrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, and living rooms.
Glass curtains can be short or floor length and are usually hung close to the window without drawn pulls. They can be straight panels or shirred and can be used alone or with draperies.
2. Table cloth This is a table accessory that serves to unify the components of the table setting. It serves as a protection cover for the table and helps reduce the noise level in the dinning area. The table cloth comes in different materials, colors, designs, and shapes. Choice of cloth depends on the occasion and the shape of the table. The choice of color must complement the color of the curtains or the room walls.
3. Table runner This is a long strip of cloth that is placed in the middle of the table. Just like table cloth, it protects the table and at the same time decorative in purpose. Choice of the size and shape of table runners highly depends on the occasion and shape of the table. You can lay down a table runner over a plain table cloth to serve as an accent.
4. Glass holder and cover The holder protects your hand from a hot cup, glass or vessel. It helps to bar or absorb the hotness from any container. Glass holder also serves as an added protection to the table from unnecessary marks or moisture. The glass cover serves to protect the content of the cup or glass holders sold commercially in the market but you can design and make your own glass holder and cover.
5. napkin The basic function of a napkin is to wipe the fingers or to blot your mouth. The event or occasion dictates the size of napkins used. It is usually square in shape and comes in different colors and designs. The material used should be absorbent. It should also be strong so that it can be folded into many decorative forms.
6. pillows Pillows come in different sizes, shapes, and designs. Pillows are classified according to the following use: Toss or throw pillows are usually small, decorative pillows that you can place on a chair, a sofa, a couch, or a bed. It serves to accent a particular space through the use of contrasting colors or designs
Bed pillow and pillowcase are your favorite kind. It is where you lay your head at the end of a tiring day and get a good night’s sleep. It comes in different sizes and shapes but the most common is the rectangular shape. It should not be too soft nor too hard and not too low nor too high to affect your posture.
The pillowcase serves as protection to the pillow. The material for the pillowcase should be soft to the touch and the design should not be very elaborate.
Cushion is much bigger in size. Examples of cushions are giant floor pillows, bean bags, and chair pads. They are meant to be sat on so adding too many adornment or trimmings at the top of the cushion is not advisable.
