1. LABOR SCHEMES IN KARNATAKA Details of all schemes and application process for BoCW labors in Karnataka - MIGRANT WORKERS RIGHTS NETWORK (MWRN)

2. APPLICABILITY CRITERIA All Building and other Construction Workers (BoCW) in state of Karnataka like painter,carpenter,mason,elecrtician,plumber etc. Only LABOR CARD holders can avail the benefits of these schemes

3. SCHEMES Pension : After completion of 3 years as a beneficiary Rs 2000/- per month Family Pension : The spouse of the deceased registered worker Rs 1000/- per month Disability Pension : Rs 2000/- month and ex gratia payment up to Rs 2,00,000/- depending upon the percentage of disability Assistance for Spectacles, hearing aid, artificial limb, wheel chair – reimbursement Shrama Samarthaya Toolkit-cum-Training Programme Rs 20,000/-

4. Maternity Assistance ( Thayi Lakshmi Bond) : assistance of Rs 30,000/- in case of female child and Rs 20,000/- for male child (first 2 children only) Housing ( Karmika Gruha Bhagya ) : Rs 2,00,000/- for construction or purchase of house Funeral Expenses : Rs 4000/- to meet the funeral expenses of the deceased construction worker and Rs 5000/- as ex gratia Educational Assistance : Kalike Bhagya Scheme for 2 children of registered construction worker as in chart–

Marriage Assistance : Gruha Lakshmi Bond Rs 50,000/- marriage assistance to the beneficiary or his 2 children LPG connection to registered construction workers: Karmika Anila Bhagya , connection including burner stove and refill for his/her family BMTC bus pass : Assistance of free buss pass to registered construction workers to commute in BMTC busses KSRTC bus pass : Assistance of free student buss pass to children of registered construction workers travelling in KSRTC buses Assistance for pre school education and nutritional support of child of registered woman construction worker – Thayi Magu Sahaya Hastha Rs 6000/-(@ Rs 500/- per month)
