SHAPED FROM WASTE : Nek Chand, who designed the garden, collected materials from places where buildings were torn down, places where factories threw away their garbage, and even from people’s homes. The Rock Garden Chandigarh has lots of sculptures, pathways, and buildings made from these recycled materials. Broken tiles, pottery shards, and porcelain are used to create mosaics and patterns.Glass bottles and bangles are used to add a vibrant element to the sculptures. Bottles, tin cans, broken plugs, plates, and saucers are used to create patterns and textures.
