2. Meaning : Ubi Jus Ibi Remedium means that there is no wrong without a remedy. Where there is a wrong there is a remedy. The basic philosophy that works behind this maxim is that a person whose right is violated has a right under the law to avail a remedy against such violation.

3. Application: Where a right exists and that right is recognized by law. Where wrong has been done and right has been violated clearly. Where law dose not provide any relief.

4. Exception: Where there is breach of moral right because equity only helps where there is a breach of legal right. Where there is negligence of plaintiff due to which he has waived the right for remedy. Where some remedy is already available by law.
