Why PH is Important? • pH is a measure of acidity or alkalinity in a solution. • A pH 6.5 - 8.4 of is ideal for most aquatic organisms. • Acidic conditions (pH < 6.5) can harm fish, reduce nutrient availability, and promote undesirable algae growth. • Liming raises pH levels towards a more basic range, creating a healthier environment for aquatic life.
