Linear pair and adjacent angles
β π΄π΅πΉ πππ β πΆπ΅πΉ
Adjacent angles are two angles which have a common vertex and a common side but have no common interior points. Linear Pair of Angles In geometry, a linear pair of angles is a pair of adjacent angles formed when two lines intersect each other. Adjacent angles are formed when two angles have a common vertex and a common arm but do not overlap. The linear pair of angles are always supplementary as they form on a straight line. In other words, the sum of two angles in a linear pair is always 180 degrees.
ADJACENT ANGLES LINEAR PAIR
FIND MY MEASURE!
A. Given a linear pair, complete the statements below. Illustrate first the given and show your solutions in your answer sheet. 1. If πβ 1 = 129, then πβ 2= ________. 2. If πβ 1 = 38, then πβ 2 = ________. 3. If πβ 1 = 88, then πβ 2 = ______. Β
A. Use the figure to complete the table by naming 2 pairs of adjacent angles and 2 linear pairs. At the corresponding column, write the common vertex and the common side.
