Lost & Found STANDARDS

STANDARDS The Fairmont Towers/Heliopolis will provide Lost and Found services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for both inquiries and found items, to the following minimum standards. Hotel will wait to be contacted on lost & found items; the policy is not to contact the guest if items are left behind.

Time standards 1-   All guest inquiries about lost/found items will be responded to within 24 hours. 2- Non-valuable items that are unclaimed for 3 months will be offered to the employee who found them. 3-  Valuable items that are unclaimed for 6 months will be offered to the colleague who found them.

Standards 1-   Housekeeping Department is the control center for the Lost and Found service. 2-   Housekeeping Department has a designated location for storing non-valuables as well as valuable items. 3-  Any items found in a guest room by an employee, must immediately be transported to the Housekeeping Department and logged in, including valuable items.

Standards 4-  Items found in any other area of the Hotel including all ball rooms will be immediately taken to Housekeeping and logged in. 5-  Items will be placed in plastic bags and will be tagged according to the log or database. 6-  The Housekeeping Department maintains a detailed log or database of found items, including a description of the item, the date when and location where it was found and the name of the person who turned it in. When a found item is matched with an inquiry, the name, address and phone number of the guest will be entered into the log.

Important info Under no circumstances the employee is not admit to anyone that we have an item, until it has been verified.

How to make a ticket

Main Dashboard 1- Select Service Request from the menu

Main Dashboard Select the right property HLI or HLT

Main Dashboard Write the room number if the guest in house or write 0000 if the guest outside

Main Dashboard Select the Activity (Lost & Found)

Main Dashboard Write the Details of the lost items 1- The type of the lost item and any details . 2- The name of the guest and his number to be contacted . 3- Date of C/I & C/O .

Main Dashboard Press Add & Save
