The concept
A 2D animated Kevin embarks on a restless journey, starting
in bed, followed by a series of car rides—from a detached
friends gathering to his ex-girlfriend’s house—before
disappearing into the sunset, uncertain of what comes next.
Differentiating Factor
The video stands out by blending the calm, nostalgic
feel of lo-fi hip-hop time-lapse videos with a 2D
aniamated narrative-driven journey through LA. No
artist has turned this soothing aesthetic into a visual
story, making it a unique, reflective experience for fans
to connect with emotionally.
Font & Color Scheme
Natom Pro (R)
Lofi carries a nostalgic vibe, so
we’ve chosen shades of purple
with color accents to create a
calm, dreamlike atmosphere.
Kevin’s lyrics flow seamlessly
with the relaxed J
Dilla-inspired beat, providing
an out-of-body experience for
the audience.
The fonts were selected to
complement his smooth tone,
vulnerability, and clever
wordplay, enhancing the visual
and emotional connection to
the music.
Glowworm
The artist’s animated imagery—
reflecting, writing, and listening to
music against shifting purple, blue, and
pink skies—captures the verse's
introspective and emotional depth. The
orange shirt adds a hopeful contrast to
the room's melancholic mood, aligning
with the song's themes of struggle and
yearning for peace.
"I've been drowning in the spirit."
First Verse
In this scene, the artist leaves
home for a joy ride to reflect and
think. As he drives, the sky
timelapse shows the California
trees and the passage of day and
night, symbolizing his journey
through introspection and
emotional change.
"Won't forget it, won't regret it, it's important that you know/
That I love you anyways life's a bitch and then it goes-"
Chorus
The second verse transitions to a
close-up of animated Kevin in a room
where his friends are preoccupied,
highlighting his sense of isolation.
As the verse progresses, a timelapse
window shows day and night with
purple, blue, and pink hues. The
camera pans out to reveal that he is in
a crowded room but remains
unnoticed.
His orange shirt symbolizes his
enduring optimism. He exits the room
and makes his way to his car to
continue his journey of reflection.
"And I'm so tired man, I always feel so alone/ I don’t get why when I’m
in the biggest crowd is when I’m feeling the most on my own."
Second Verse
In this scene, the artist drives to
reflect and think. The timelapse of
the sky, featuring California trees
and the transition from day to
night, symbolizes his journey
through introspection and
emotional change.
"Won't forget it, won't regret it, it's important that you know/
That I love you anyways life's a bitch and then it goes--."
Chorus
In this visual, the artist drives to his
ex-girlfriend's house, seeking
emotional connection and closure.
As they drive together, time is shown
passing. At a pivotal moment, they
stop to lie on top of the car, talking
and gazing at the stars, reflecting on
their past and the process of moving
forward.
"Don't hold onto emotions that's a slow race/ Mine was always hiding in the do-re/"
Third Verse
The visual concludes with
the artist driving off into
the sunset, with the orange
and yellow hues
symbolizing his journey
toward emotional recovery
and new beginnings.
"Won't forget it, won't regret it, it's important that you know/
That I love you anyways life's a bitch and then it goes--"
Chorus
Closing
The video will resonate with the artist's target audience by
visually amplifying the song's emotional depth and relatable
themes, creating a captivating experience that feels personal.
