potters’quarterinnorthernKolkata,thecapitaloftheeastIndianstateofWestBengal.
Byvirtueoftheirartisticproductionsthesepottershavemovedfromobscurityto
prominence.ThisKolkataneighbourhood,notonlysuppliesclayidolsofHindugodsand

palatialmansionlocatedinNorthKolkata,India,whichwasbuiltbyRajaRajendraMullick
