4. Definition- is a word or expression that has a precise meaning in some uses or is peculiar to a science, art, profession, or subject. Defining term is one way of helping to resolve problems of ambiguity. 4

It usually works in opposition: as the left aileron is deflected upward, the right is deflected downward, and vice versa.
