Program Overview On April 17, 2019, the Republic Act No. 11310 or An Act Institutionalizing the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program was signed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte making Pantawid Pamilya the national poverty reduction strategy of the government. Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program is a human development program of the national government that invests in the health and education of poor households, particularly of children aged 0-18 years old. Patterned after the conditional cash transfer scheme implemented in other developing countries, the Pantawid Pamilya provides cash grants to beneficiaries provided that they comply with the set of conditions required to the program. The program works together with different National Government Agencies, Local Government Units, and Civil Society Organizations to establish linkages that will help the beneficiaries have access to different programs and services that will further help them alleviate their level of well-being. Social Development - to break the intergenera- tional pverty cycle through investments in human capital Program Objectives To improve the health of young children and mothers by promoting preventive health care To enhance the performance of parenting roles of beneficiaries and their participation in community development activities To encourage parents to invest in their children's health, nutrition and education To raise the average consumption rate in food expenditure of poor households. To increase the enrollment and attendance rate of children in Day Care, Kindergarten, Elementary and Secondary Schools To contribute to the reduction of incidence of child labor
