Maya Somaiya library By – Ar. Sameep Padora

Introduction Maya S. Somaiya Library at Somaiya Vidyavihar's Shri Sharda English Medium School, Kopargaon Maharashtra. This library is designed is by the Mumbai based architect, Sameep Padora . Keeping in mind the instinctive affinity that children have towards natural environments over just an ordinary building, the design of the library is an innovative creation of a structure built without any columns and beams under it. The vault has three layers of brick tile. The library is spread over 5000 square feet of floor space with a capacity to house over 22,000 books.
