2 ABSTRACT This mobile application aims to provide an interactive and engaging platform for teaching road signs to individuals of all ages. Through the use of computer-aided learning, users will be able to access a variety of educational materials, including quizzes, videos, and interactive exercises, to help them learn the meaning and importance of different road signs. The application will also feature real-life scenarios and practical examples to help users better understand how to interpret and respond to various road signs in different driving situations. Ultimately, this mobile application seeks to enhance road safety and promote responsible driving habits through effective and innovative educational tools.

INTRODUCTION This mobile application aims to revolutionize the way we learn and retain information about road signs. By leveraging the power of computer-aided learning, this app provides an interactive and engaging platform for users to develop a deep understanding of different road sign types, their meanings, and their practical applications. 3

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM Despite the critical importance of road sign recognition for safe and efficient transportation, many road users, particularly novice drivers and vulnerable road users like pedestrians (Walkers) and cyclists, often struggle to accurately identify and comprehend the meaning of various road signs. This lack of knowledge can lead to confusion, unsafe driving behaviors, 4

To develop a comprehensive, user-centric, and technologically-advanced mobile applications that can effectively teach and support road sign knowledge is crucial. These solutions should strive for a standardized, yet adaptable, approach to content and design, ensuring consistency and relevance across different regions and user needs . 5 SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM

The principle aim of this project is to develop a mobile application for computer aided learning, teaching road signs. 6 AIM

To enhance users' ability to accurately identify and understand the meaning of various types of road signs, including regulatory, warning, guidance, and informational signs. To help reduce the risk of accidents and foster a safer and more responsible road user culture. 7 OBJECTIVES

The purpose of developing a mobile application that teaches how to know the road signs assist the highway authorities to update and maintain the road signs. The mobile application will focus on providing a comprehensive and interactive learning experience for users to develop a deep understanding of various road sign types and their practical applications. 8 PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

The key limitation of the Road Sign Learning Mobile Application project is its inability to fully replicate the real-world driving and transportation environment. The scope will include interactive lessons, multimedia content, personalized learning features, and realistic scenarios to bridge the gap between theory and practice. 9 LIMITATION & SCOPE OF THE PROJECT

In conclusion therefore, the Mobile application for computer aided learning that teaches road signs is an android version of m- learning application. The motivation behind this all-inclusive m-learning platform have been the large number of learners in Nigerian higher education context, affordability and evolving nature of mobile technologies, and learning computer s cience through blended learning approach. 10 CONCLUSION
