8. Modi Sugar Mills Established in 1933, Modi Sugar Mills laid the foundation of Umesh Modi Group. Established a plant to produce refined candy sugar, making it the only producer of the same in India. Renowned as one of the most efficient sugar plants in Northern India.   Was conferred the prestigious ISO 9000:2001 certification. Producing 90,000 tonnes of plantation white sugar.

SBEC Sugar Limited Added another arm,  in 1998, they collaborated with SBEC Systems Limited, UK, to form SBEC Sugar Limited.  Recognised as one of the most hi- tech plants in the country  The annual production of SBEC amounts to a whopping 1,40,000 tonne of plantation white sugar. To utilize the bagasse produced during sugar production, a 12 MW co-generation power plant has been commissioned by its sister concern SBEC Bioenergy Ltd (SBL).

11. Win-Medicare Pvt. Ltd. Formed Win-Medicare in the early 1980s. In Collaboration with Sterling Drug of USA. In 1990 J.V. of Modi- Mundipharma was established and Win-Medicare was acquired by Modi- Mundipharma .  ‘ Betadine ’ into India’s 14th largest pharmaceutical brand.  Distribution reach is to more than 2,00,000 chemists.

13. COSMETICS Modi-Revlon Pvt . Ltd.  The first International Color Cosmetics brand to be launched in India (1995).  Formation of Modi-Revlon Pvt . Ltd., collaboration between Modi- Mundipharma Pvt.Ltd . and Revlon of USA. Extensive range of quality products in different categories namely, color cosmetics, skincare, fragrances, hair care and hair colors . Manufacturing facilities in India and one in Srilanka for its Color Cosmetics & Personal Care products under the licensing agreement with Revlon INC.

14. Iron & Steel Bihar Sponge Iron Ltd.  The first merchant sponge iron plant in India. The project cost was $ 90 M at that time and was partly funded by IFC Washington, started commercial production in July 1989. Today, an industrial giant with investments worth Rs . 1 billion.  Production capacity is of 2.10 lakh metric tonnes per annum  Won the recognition of “most efficient coal-based plant in India”.

15. News Room On May 14, 2012 Umesh Modi group in tie-up with European baby-care brand Galenco. Umesh Modi group is foraying into the baby skin-care segment by inking a tie-up with premium European brand Galenco. The brand is being brought to India by the over-the-counter arm of the Umesh Modi group -- Modi Omega Pharma.

It is uniquely involved in Agricultural Chemicals (ABD)   as  well as  Specialty & Performance Chemicals (S&PC) Business. Established more than four decades ago, headquartered in Mumbai, a research-led company. Employing 705 people, INDOFIL has a sales turnover of Rs . 782 crores , as on 31 st March, 2010. INDOFIL has a very strong domestic base and a well recognized international presence. The Company believes in Complete Team working, Team winning strategies and innovation in its products, services and business processes with an unending urge to excel.

19. EDUCATION Under Education business, Modi Enterprises has established MAII( Modi Academic International Institute). MAII is an initiative of K.K. Modi Group, a US $ 2.8 billion group that has been in existence since 2002. A pioneer in bringing International education to India, MAII brought in Western International University (WIU), USA degree program in 2001.  In October 2009 MAII entered into a Joint venture with Stratford University, Virginia, USA, to offer their Undergraduate and Graduate programs in India. Shanghai Tang is an international clothing chain, founded in 1994 by Hong Kong businessman David Tang Wing Cheung and now controlled by the Richmond Group. Godfrey Phillips India has tied up with Shanghai Tang as Master Franchisee in India. Colorbar Cosmetics is one of India’s leading brands that has been developed with the promise of providing its consumers world class innovative products in a wide range of colors .
