Objectives To preserve the rich ornamentation of the tile mosaic, fresco paintings, brick imitation, fountain and monuments etc. To conserve the cultural heritage and maintain them for present and future generations.

Observations & recommendations Observation 1 (Slow progress) The project was “Behind Schedule”. Project’s actual physical progress was found out to be 40%. Recommendation: The pace of work needs to be expedited by the executing agency. Observation 2 (Inadequate funding): The scheme has been short funded with minimal funding allocated each Fiscal Year, Recommendation : Adequate allocations and releases of funds in order to avoid time and cost overrun. Observation 3 (Miscellaneous Shortcomings): The works on “Dewan-e- aam ” & “ Doulat Khana” have been completed. It was observed that there were seepage issues and plaster chipping in the corridor Recommendation : Executing agency need to work simultaneously and actively at all points in order to achieve a thorough view of culturally rich heritage at proposed project.
