1. NCC General Marks-5 HISTORY OF NCC National cadet crops(NCC) is a tri-services organization , comprising the Army , Navy and Air force , engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. 1914-1917-University corps( bristish government) during first world war. 1917-University corps under Indian Defence act 1917 . 1920- Indian territorial act was passed , the university corps was replaced by the university training corps(UTC). 1942-University officers training corps(UOTC). 15 July 1948-National cadet crops came into exitence by act of parliament. 1949- After the Independence for SW/JW

ABOUT NCC FLAG 1951-NCC badge and unit designation. 1954-Tri-colour flag introduced. RED = Army. DEEP BLUE =Navy. LIGHT BLUE = Air forces. 17 lotuses = 17 State directorates. Ekta aur Anushasan is written at the bottom of the NCC flag.=“ UNITY AND DISCIPLINE ” ABOUT NCC MOTTO Unity and Displine-23 Dec 1957. Aim of NCC Approval by MARCH 2001. *To develop qualities of character ,courage ,comradeship ,discipline , leadership ,secular outlook ,spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizens. *To create a human resource of organized trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life including the armed forces and be always available for the service of the nation. *To provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up career in the armed forces.

NCC Staff NCC is staffed by the following:‐ 1.Regular officers drawn from the three services 2.Whole Time Lady Officers (WTLO), who are from NCC. 3.Associate NCC officers (ANO), who are professors and teachers. 4. Girl Cadet Instructors (GCI), who are from NCC. 5.Permanent Instructional (PI) Staff from army, navy and air force. 6. Civilian Gliding Instructors. 7. Civilian Staff.

Training in NCC Training activities of NCC can be broadly classified as under:‐ (a) Institutional Training. (b) Camp Training. (c) Attachment Training. (d) Naval Wing Activities (e) Air Wing Activities. (f) Remount & Vetinary Activities. Types of Camps ( a) Annual Training Camps (ATC). (b) Centrally Organised Camps (COC). ( i ) Leadership Camps (Basic and Advance). (ii) Thal Sainik Camp (TSC). (iii) Vayu Sainik Camp (VSC). (iv) Nau Sainik Camps (NSC). (v) Rock Climbing Camp. (vi) National Integration Camps (NIC). (vii) RDC and PM‘s Rally. (c) Adventure Training and Sports. (d)Youth Exchange Programme (YEP)

Drill : Drill is the action to take any action in a proper way. (Or) The sequence of the process is called drill and the proper line is called drill. Types of Drill : There are two types of drill 1. Open drill 2. Close drill

Open drill : It is done during battle in field area. Close drill : It is done during peace time at a certain place and for the NCC cadets and soldiers. It is done for teaching.

What is the difference between rank and file? * The cadet in rank stand side by side in a straight line, facing each other. Stand next to. * In the file, the cadets follow each other in a straight line covering from front to back standup.

What is the immersion and line break? Immersion( visarjan ) On this order, salute,if there is an officer,then a little after pause, move out of the ground at a brisk pace, this ends the pared order to do. Line break(fall out) On reciving this order turn right and break the line. But the salute is not given, the cadets stay in the ground.There is a pause rather than an end of the parade i.e ,, 5 mins break of.
