NASSDOC began as a branch of the Indian council of social science research (ICSSR) in 1969. Its goal is to provide library and information support services to social science researchers in academic institutions, autonomous research organizations, government policy making, planning, and research units, business and industry, and so on. Introduction
Provides assistance to the libraries of ICSSR Regional Centers and Research Institutes that are supported by the ICSSR. Provides study grants to PhD candidates for the purpose of collecting research materials from various libraries across India. Functions
Grant financial aid to people who want to start bibliographical or documentation projects. Provides document delivery service. Organize short-term training courses for researchers, social scientists, librarians, and IT professionals to familiarize them with the most up-to-date information and communication technologies.

Consultation Services Research scholars who visit NASSDOC for their research work can access International Political Science Abstracts and other online databases. Reference Service Staff responds to reference requests made in person, via e-mail, phone, or fax. Services
Referral Service Research scholars are referred to other institutions/libraries if content is not available in the library. Literature Search NASSDOC offers a large collection of bibliographic data in both printed and digital formats. These databases are used to conduct literature searches on a wide range of subjects. Document Delivery Service NASSDOC makes copies of research materials from its own collection as well as those from other Indian and international libraries and organizations to be delivered to users on request. Bibliographic Service On-demand bibliographic services are available. This service is available in two formats: bibliographical references and bibliographical references with an abstract or summary of the document's conceptual content. Services
