What is motivation Motivation is the key of behavior. Motivation is directly proportional to the behavior. The rate of motivation is directed affected to the ratio of behavior. Motivation is an important factor which encourages person. According to likert ; It is the core of management which shows that every human being give him a sence of worth in face to face groups Which are most important for him. A motivation is an inner state that energizes,activate or moves and direct behavior goals. It is the stimulation of any emotion that operating uponones will or promoting and driving it to motion. It is the comlex of forces starting and keeping a person at work in an organization. A willingness to expand energy to achieve a goal or reward.

Nature of motivation Motivation is an psychological phenomenon which generate with in an individual. Motivation is an inner feeling which to work more energizes a person. The emotions are desires of a person prompt him for doing a particular work. A person moves to fulfil his unsatisfied needs by conditioning his energeis . Positive motivation is based on reward. The incentive may be in the shape of more pay,promotion,recog nation of work. According to peter Drucker the real and positive motivation are responsible for placement high standard of performance,information. Negative motivation are based on force or fear.

Nature of motivation The fear acts as aoush mechanism. This type of motivation is generally cause of industrial unrest. Motivating people to perform higher than their normal physical and mental capacities. Motivation enhances the efficiency ofemployees and the organization. Motivated people develop a sence of belonging towards the organization. Motivation improves team sprit of employees and this improve the work environment. Motivation enables cordial and healthy relationship. Motivation leads to greater employee involvement and lesser wastages. Thus motivation plays key role in every aspect of life.

Function of motivation Motivation has several effect on students learning and behavior. Motivation directs behavior toward particular goals. Motivation enhances cognitive processing. In the classroom motivation drives many behavior. There are different functions of motivation. Escape Pugnacity Repulsion Parental motivation Curiosity Self assertion Gregariousness Self submissions

Maslow's theory of motivation Maslow's heirchy of needs is a theory in psychology proposed by Abraham Maslow in his 1943 paper. Maslow subsequently extended the idea to include the observation of human innate curiosity. According to Maslow motivation is the result of the persons attempt at fulfilling five basic needs including. Physiological Safety Social Esteem Self actualization

Maslow's hierchy of needs Physiological needs; including food ,water, and other subsistence related need. Safety needs; including shelter,a safe home environment,employmeny, a healthy and safe working environment. Access to health care,money,and other basic necessities. Belonging needs; including the desire for social contact and interaction,friendship,affection,support. Esteem needs; including status,recognition,positive regards. Self actualization needs; including the desire for achievement,personel growth, development and autonomy. Satisfaction progression; according to this individual were motivated to continually progress upward through these levels.
