2. Etymology of the Word ‘Research’ Research comes from the middle French word “recherche” which means “the act of searching closely” The word “Research” is a combination of the prefix re which means “again” and the word search , which means “to look for”

3. UNDERSTANDING RESEARCH Research is a systematic investigation to generate new knowledge or validate existing knowledge. It involves formulating questions, collecting and analyzing data, and reporting findings. it’s main objective is to answer questions and acquire new information, wether to solve problem or to shed light on confusing facts

4. QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH is an objective, systematic empirical investigation of observable phenomena through the use of computational techniques. It highlights numerical analysis of data hoping that the numbers yield unbiased results that can be generalized to some larger population and explain a particular observation. It simply concerned with numbers and its relationship with events.
