Non Linear Static Analysis of Plate with Point Load Z direction NASTRAN (SOL 106 ) Carry out Static Analysis of Plate. Plate is fixed at one end & a point load(1000 N) is applied at one end using RBE2 element. Non linear material stress-strain curve is used as input. Create plate of 100x100x2mm thick

Create load collector to define the Material Stress-Strain Curve Enter True Stress-Strain Values . First Pair should be 0.0 , 0.0 X- Strain Values , Y-Stress Values Card image = TABLES1 Enter no. of data points

Create load collector to define the Non-linear Analysis Parameters Card image = NLPARM

TABLES1 Material Property Table, Form 1

TABLES1 Material Property Table, Form 1

TABLES1 Material Property Table, Form 1

Create Material & Attach the Stress-Strain Curve Specifying TID TID – Table Identification No. of TABLES1 load collector created to define the stress-strain curve.

Create load collector for applying constraints The created loadcol is set as current loadcollector

Select nodes for fixing the plate at one end Load type – SPC (Single Point Constraints) Set loadcol as fix

Create load collector for applying load in Z-direction The created loadcol is set as current loadcollector

Create load steps Load collector names with ID’s Select SPC load collector with loadcol ID - 1 Select LOAD with loadcol ID - 2 Select NLPARM with loadcol ID - 3 First Click create & then edit

Scroll to select the parameters Select Parameters as shown below

Submit Nastran Run Click On the Shortcut to open the file. Select the file In command Info window Type SCR=YES OLD=NO
