What is TAAI ? TAAI is a professional coordinating body of different segments of the travel and tourism industry TAAI is the Nodal Association of India . TAAI is non political , non - commercial and a non - profit making organization . TAAI is recognized as the main representative body of the travel and tourism industry
Historical Development Established back in 1951 by N.J Katgara Travel Agents Association of India ( TAAI ) is perhaps the largest Travel Association of India . Started with just twelve travel agents , TAAI has got a staggering 2400 members under its banner with the objective to promote the interest of the Indian tourism industry and the entities associated with it . Down the years , TAAI has earned the reputation as the voice of the Travel and Tourism industry in India by dint of their dedicated , dynamic and professional service .

About TAFI The Travel Agents Federation of India ( TAFI ) was established in 1986 . It is a dynamic organization that guides the travel industry in India. It is a professional body of Travel Agents coordinating different segments of the travel trade and is a non political . non - commercial not - for - profit body .
About TAFI TAFI's membership today comprises of 1400 Active , Associate , Allied and Affiliate [ Travel Service Intermediaries - Non IATA ) members from all over India.. Over 70 % of the ticketing business is handled by TAFI members . TAFI is a proud member of World Travel Agents Associations Alliance ( WTAAA ) and an Affiliate member of the Southern African Tourism Services Association ( SATSA ). Recently had there 11 convention on the theme " Sustainable Success Smart Way Forward "
