2. WHAT IS AN OUTLINE? It is a blueprint or plan of your paper. It shows the order of the topics and relationship between different parts. It is a way of formally arranging and developing ideas.

3. WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF OUTLINE? Topic Outline It summarizes the main topics and subtopics of the article in words or phrases. Sentence Outline It uses complete sentence for each topics and subtopics as it is more informative.

4. WHAT ARE THE FORMATS OF OUTLINE? Alphanumeric Outline It is the most common type and instantly recognizable to people. It uses the following elements: 1. Roman Numerals 2. Capitalized Letters 3. Arabic Numerals 4. Lowercase Letters

5. WHAT ARE THE FORMATS OF OUTLINE? Full Sentence Outline Decimal Outline It is same as the alphanumeric outline but it differs only on the required data in each level. It uses a system of decimal notation in each level to show the relationship of ideas.
