2. What are the Olympics and Paralympics? The Olympics and Paralympics are some of the biggest sporting events in the world! Athletes from all around the world come together to compete in lots of different events. More that 200 different countries take part!

3. Olympic and Paralympic History Which country did the Olympic games start in? The modern Olympic games started in Greece in 1894. They were based on games that were in Ancient Greece over 2000 years ago! The first Paralympic games were held in Rome (Italy) in 1960.

11. Where are the Olympics and Paralympics this year? (2020)

12. When is it? The 2020 Summer Olympics will begin on Friday   24th July and ends on Sunday 9th August. The 2020 Summer Paralympics will begin on Tuesday 25th August and ends on Sunday 6th September.

13. Mo Farah Mo Farah is a British long distance runner. He competes in the 5000m and 10 000m athletic events. He has 4 Olympic gold medals.

14. Ellie Simmonds Ellie Simmonds is a British Paralympic swimmer. She won 2 Paralympic gold medals when she was only 13 years old. She competes in lots of different swimming events and has won medals in all of them.

15. Sky Brown Sky will be the youngest Olympian to compete for Great Britain at the summer Olympic Games. She is 11 years old. Sky will compete in the new skateboarding event in 2020.
