Online Marketing AS KNOWN AS DIGITAL MARKETING AND THE PLATFORM WHERE WE CAN ADVERTISE OUR PRODUCT AND MANY MORE…..

What is online Marketing ?   A type of marketing that connects with potential clients via the internet and technology is called online marketing , sometimes referred to as digital marketing or internet marketing. Traditional marketing channels include billboards, radio, print, and television, while online marketing shows up in many forms, including social media, email, influencer marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click ads, videos, and much more. The methods, strategies, and channels that fall under the umbrella of online marketing are diverse, but they all seek to use the internet to connect to larger and more targeted audiences.

To understand digital marketing , you must first know about marketing and its types . M arketing is everything a business does to get people interested in its products or services and help them buy. It means finding out what customers want, creating products they need, telling them about those products, and making the buying process easy and satisfying. At its core, marketing includes : Creating and sharing value : Businesses make products or services that are valuable to customers. Communicating with people : Using messages and promotions (like ads, websites, or social media) to let people know about the products. Delivering the product: Making sure customers can easily get and use what they buy. Building relationships: Not just selling once, but encouraging customers to come back in the future. In simple words, marketing is how a business connects with people to understand their needs, make products they want, inform them about those products, and build trust so they choose—and keep choosing—the business.

THERE ARE MAINLY TWO TYPES OF MARKETING THE "TRADITIONAL OR DIGITAL MARKETING " Traditional marketing is a way of promoting products using offline methods—things that are not on the internet. Think about ads you see in newspapers, magazines, on TV, or hear on the radio. It also includes billboards you see while driving, flyers in your mailbox, and banners outside shops. These methods have been around for decades, long before the internet existed. Here’s an easy way to understand traditional marketing: Examples: A shop puts a big ‘SALE’ banner outside. Brands show their new products in TV commercials. Flyers are handed out in a market. In short: Traditional marketing is all about using non-internet ways to spread the word about a product or a brand, mostly through ads and promotions that people see or hear in their daily lives. It uses physical media : paper ads, posters, signs, mail, TV, and radio. One-way communication : The business sends out the message, and you see or hear it, but you cannot reply instantly or interact. Good for reaching many people at once , especially in your local community—like everyone who watches the same TV show or drives past a busy road. Can be expensive : For example, TV commercials or big billboards can cost a lot. Harder to measure results : It’s not always easy to know exactly how many people saw your ad, or if they decided to buy because of it.

D igital marketing is a way of promoting products or services using the internet and electronic devices. You see digital marketing when you see ads online, get emails from companies, see social media posts about brands, or find websites through Google searches. Here’s an easy way to understand digital marketing: Examples: A brand posts a picture of new shoes on Instagram. You get a discount code by email from an online store. Search results or ads pop up when you Google “best running shoes.” In short: Digital marketing is all about using the internet and electronic devices to connect with the right people and promote products or brands in ways that are interactive, targeted, and easy to track. It uses digital channels like websites, social media ( Facebook , Instagram, etc.), email, search engines (Google), mobile apps, and online ads. Two-way communication: Businesses can interact directly with people, who can reply, comment, or share posts, making it more interactive than traditional ads. It can reach people everywhere: as long as you have internet, companies can share their message with you whether you are at home or anywhere in the world. Easy to measure: Companies quickly see how many people saw or clicked their online ads, which helps them improve their marketing. Often more affordable: Sending emails or posting on social media is usually cheaper than putting ads on TV or billboards. Targets specific people: Ads can be shown just to people who are likely to be interested, based on their online activity or interests.

Types of Online Marketing (Best ways at Present) EMAIL MARKETING is one of the most cost-effective and efficient ways for businesses and organizations to communicate directly with their customers. Email marketing does take time and effort, but it can prove very lucrative if done well. Email marketing can be done in a variety of different ways: Email marketing can help position a brand as an authority in a particular niche with a tailored informational or educational newsletter. Sales and promotional emails are more common in e-commerce and are often led by an offer or promotion with a clear call to action. Retargeting , or “abandoned basket,” emails can also be sent to customers who have left your website without converting. EMAIL MARKETIN

PAID SEAECH (PPC) With paid search or pay-per-click (PPC), brands can pay to show ads to users on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. Google and Facebook are the top two platforms for paid advertisements, but other platforms are valuable as long as your audience uses them. Using paid search, a business can choose to have their ad appear in the search results when somebody searches for a certain term or product on the internet—but only pay if someone clicks on the ad. While it might seem simplistic on the face of things, there are complicated real-time algorithms at play behind the scenes on Google Ads and Bing Ads every time a user search query is processed. Both solutions operate on an auction-based system, which looks at an advertiser’s bid and their relevancy for a particular query, which determines the ordering of the search results. From a business’s perspective, there are decisions to make around: The budget that you’re allocating to each campaign or ad group. Which keywords or search queries you’re targeting. What the key messages are for your PPC ads. Which extensions do you wish to append to your ads?

SOCIAL M E DI A Marketing S ocial media marketing is the process that businesses follow to promote their brand, products, or services on popular social media platforms. The most common social media platforms are: Facebook Instagram X (formerly known as Twitter) Linkedin Pinterest TikTok Snapchat It’s important to have a solid organic social strategy and keep your brand profile pages up to date. This can help provide a sense of credibility to prospects and customers, as well as a platform for you to engage with your audience. What is social media most useful for? The versatility of marketing on social platforms is one thing that makes them so popular. You need to understand your proposition, know your audience, and determine which channels and messages are appropriate.

SEO is the practice of optimizing websites and content to rank higher in search engine results pages (SERPs), like Google. The goal is to attract organic (non-paid) traffic by making a site more visible when users search for relevant keywords. This involves techniques like keyword research, on-page optimization, improving site speed, creating high-quality content, and earning backlinks from other websites. A strong SEO strategy helps build credibility and increases long-term online visibility. S earch Engine Optimaizarion (seo) Affiliate marketing is a performance-based strategy where individuals or businesses (affiliates) earn a commission by promoting another company’s products or services. This is typically done through blog posts, social media, or YouTube videos. It’s a win-win situation: companies gain more sales through the affiliate’s audience, and affiliates get paid for their promotional efforts. Transparency and trust are crucial, as audiences are more likely to act on recommendations from credible sources. AFFILATE MARKETING

Influencer marketing leverages the popularity and trust of influencers—individuals with significant online followings—to promote a brand or product. These influencers can be celebrities, industry experts, or niche content creators. Brands collaborate with them to reach specific audiences in a more authentic and relatable way. Since influencers often have loyal followers, their endorsements can significantly impact buying decisions, especially in lifestyle and fashion industries. “Digital marketing is all about promoting products or services online using different strategies like social media, email, paid ads, and of course — SEO. Now, among all these strategies, SEO holds a special place because it’s what helps your business get found organically on search engines. Think about it: whenever you search for something on Google, you usually click on the first few results, right? That’s the power of SEO. If a business shows up there, it automatically gets more visibility, more trust, and more chances of turning visitors into customers — without paying for ads every time. So, SEO is basically the backbone of digital marketing. Social media can bring quick attention, ads can give instant results, but SEO builds a strong long-term foundation. It’s like investing in a house you own instead of always renting. Once your website is optimized, it keeps attracting traffic and customers 24/7.”
