1. There are four quarters or grading period in a school year.
1. Prelim 2. Midterm 3. Semi-Final 4. Final
2. There must be at least 5 summative tests for every grading period. As much as possible, summative test item must be varied to measure knowledge, process or skills, understanding and product/ performance . Summative test are recorded and graded.
3. In the case of the student fails to take an examination, he/she shall be required to take a special examination within a prescribed period. 4. A passing mark is: Failing mark is: 75 70
5. Periodical rating and the average of the four quarterly ratings are computed up to two decimal place, while the general average is up to three decimal places. Example: 87.750268
Why do our parents need to attend the PTA meetings? 6. The report card will serve as notification to the parents in the performance of their children.
7. Mark below 75%; are either considered conditional or failure. Students with low grade are recommended for remedial classes. However, if the pupil/ student does not show progress after two grading periods from such remedial class, He/she should warned ahead that he/ she could not be recommended for the next grade level.
