DEFINITION Parasitic nutrition is the mode of heterotrophic nutrition in which an organism { called PARASITE } lives on the body or inside the body of another organism { called HOST } The parasite gets its nutrition from the host organism.
PARASITIC PLANT It takes readymade food from the host plant. The plants on which it climbs for food is called HOST.
EXAMPLES CUSCUTA It does not contain chlorophyll. it takes readymade food from the plant on which it is climbing.
