THE VARIATION OF RESONANT FREQUENCY OF TANK CIRCUIT WITH CHANGES IN INDUCTANCE AND CAPACITANCE

Slide Content

PHYSICS LAB AT HOME TOPIC : THE VARIATION OF RESONANT FREQUENCY OF TANK CIRCUIT WITH CHANGES IN INDUCTANCE AND CAPACITANCE

INTRODUCTION : In AC Circuits we are having several circuits with different type of elements like, 1.Resistance (R) 2.Capacitance (C) 3.Inductance (L) from these elements we are having RLC,RL,RC and LC circuits and so on……

TANK CIRCUIT : It is also know as LC Circuit, Resonant Circuit,Tuned Circuit IT consists of : Inductor (L) Capacitor (C)

APPLICATIONS : LC Circuits behaves as electronic resonators which are a key components in many applications. Amplifiers Oscillators Filters Tuners mixers

RESONANT FREQUENCY : The Resonance will be experienced in a Tank Circuit when the reactance of Capacitor and Inductor are Equal Inductive Reactance : Capacitive Reactance :

Representing the condition of equal reactance X L = X C 2 π fL = 1/2 π f C Then Resonant Frequency   of tank circuit is

REVIEW : Resonance occurs when capacitive and inductive reactance are equal Inductive reactance increases with increase in frequency and capacitive reactance decreases with increase in frequency
