Why Paris?
Paris is located on the banks of the River Seine, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Paris takes everyone's breath away with its beauty, flair, and breathtaking atmosphere. It has
lasted for 2000 years. During the Age of Enlightenment, it has been a prominent and pivotal
player. People describe Paris as a “City of Lights” and “City of Love”. Paris is also known
as the “City of Art”. The works of art and sculpture inspire them greatly. Paris is associated
with luxury. Paris offers almost everything: architecturally striking masterpieces, renowned
landmarks, renowned museums and galleries, attractive shops, and excellent restaurants.

Simultaneously, the beauty of this metropolis is associated with the comfort of day-to-day
joys. Just watching people go by at a café terrace on the side of the road adds to the culture of

the city. In addition, the great location of Paris allows tourists to take day trips to some of
France's most beautiful cities.

French charm comes in simple and subtle things like beautiful tea lounges along the charming
cobblestone streets, scintillating pastries, and stylish gentries. For everyone who likes to
travel, seeing the "Smile of Mona Lisa" is a "must-do".

Paris travel guide: Top Places to visit

1.Eiffel tower

The Eiffel Tower is Paris' crown jewel, located on the Champ de Mars. Designed and built
between 1887 and 1889 for the World Fair, the Eiffel Tower is 324 meters tall and weighs
7,300 tonnes. This historic monument still functions as a radio tower today.

This is an emblem that first-time visitors to Paris should see. Car parking is close for
adventurous visitors who are trying to drive around Paris. Or, you may travel by boat down
the Seine instead, called the Batobus Tour Eiffel.

Eiffel Tower has five major zones: the gardens, the esplanade, the first level, the second
floor, and the top level. The Trocadero Gardens are located opposite the Eiffel Tower, along
the Seine's riverbanks. Follow the Esplanade to the beautiful vistas of the Trocadéro and
Ecole Militaire.

It's little surprise that tickets to the attraction sell out quickly and that pre-planning your trip
is recommended. Prices are depending on whether you'd want to ascend to the top level or
the second level. To see official Eiffel Tower rates, visit the website.

2.Explore the Louvre

The Louvre is one of the world's most famous museums. The glass pyramid and the artwork
contained inside are recognized by almost everyone. The Louvre is a well-known landmark
in Paris, which makes it a busy location in the city. Over 9 million people visited the Louvre
in 2019.

If you're intending on staring at the Mona Lisa to enjoy the beauty of the Winged Victory of
Samothrace, you need to prepare ahead. Believe us, the Louvre is one place you shouldn't
sleep.

Tickets to the Louvre may be purchased online or in person. Visit the website to reserve your
tickets. Everyone is free to visit every first Saturday of the month from 6:00 p.m. until 9:45
pm And on Bastille Day, which is on July 14th. Every Friday, from 6:00 to 9:45 p.m.
entrance to the museum is free for all guests below 26 years.

3.Palace of Versailles

The Palace of Versailles has approximately 63,000 square meters of floor space divided over
2,300 rooms. It has been the home of the French monarchy for centuries and is a symbol of
their rule. The Hall of Mirrors, the Royal Opera, and the extensive grounds make it a
notable residence. On top of that, over 7 million people go to see the former residence of the
French kings every year.

It is impossible to appreciate all the splendor of the Palace of Versailles in only one day. The
mirror-decorated hall is 73 meters long, with a 357-mirror count. Fifteen groves with
fountains and statues are found in the gardens of the Palace. Ballroom Grove is the only
place that hasn't altered throughout time.

For more information visit the official website.

4.Paris Travel Guide: Musee d’Orsay

The Louvre is so renowned that many forget about the other Paris museums. You shouldn't
miss the Louvre's younger sister, the Musee d'Orsay. The Orsay museum contains pieces of
art produced between 1848 and 1915. It's a unique period since it contains some of the
world's greatest painters, the Impressionists.

The Musee d'Orsay was not originally designed to house art. It was built to host the 1900
World's Fair. The traditional stone façade hides a startlingly contemporary interior of metal
and glass. Since 1986, it has welcomed millions of tourists.

The major attraction of the museum is its world-class collection of Impressionist artworks.
The following is from Edgar Degas, Édouard Manet, Claude Monet, Pierre-August
Renoir, and Vincent Van Gogh.

You may purchase your ticket online, and use the reserved entry to avoid the queue.

5.Arc de Triomphe

The Arc de Triomphe is an internationally renowned emblem of Parisian elegance and
beauty. The monument, created by Napoleon I to celebrate France's military success, is a 50-
meter-tall, 164-foot-wide arch that sits on the Champs-Élysées, the city's most famous
avenue, at the 'Etoile' (star), where 12 avenues radiate out in a semi-circular arrangement.

The Arc de Triomphe holds a prominent position on any comprehensive list of Paris' top
tourist attractions since it evokes both victorious and tragic historical events.

Some other places to explore

1.The Latin Quarter

Stroll through the Latin Quarter, where the narrow winding alleys open into cafe-lined
squares full of ancient charm. Here it seems like you're going back many centuries in time.
There are several restaurants, pubs, and jazz clubs here.

2.Relax in Jardin Du Luxembourg

The Jardin du Luxembourg is Paris's biggest public park. Most of the garden's sculptures,
sculptures, and fountains are spread across the grounds. You'll find several runners in the
morning. A park filled with people enjoying picnics on a beautiful day.

3.Walk the Champs Elysees

It is a well-known boulevard in Paris, featuring theatres, cafés, and luxury specialty stores.
Also, it's a well-known thoroughfare that goes down from the Arc de Triomphe to the
Louvre. Despite being crowded and costly, it is a fantastic location to hit the town or take
pictures at night. The location is desolate early in the morning. These work well.

4.Montemartre

Montmartre has a picturesque perspective of Paris, art galleries, cafés, and bars made of
cobblestone, offering artists long-term shelter (Vignes du Clos Montmartre). The
neighborhood, though is far from trendy. People who wish to visit hangout places like
Hemingway and Gertrude Stein would definitely like this.

5.Visit Sainte-Chapelle

One of the favorite churches in Paris. People prefer this gothic cathedral to the neighboring
Notre Dame. Its original décor, including stained glass, and the interior is beautiful, and one
of the few original stained glass windows in France.

6.Paris TravelGuide: Disneyland
Thanks to Disneyland being the world-renowned attraction it is, no child will have a dull day
in Paris. That's why I love to include this place in this complete Paris Travel Guide.

Best time to visit
The best time to come is in May, early June, September, or October when the weather is still
bright and pleasant. These months are often about 20–23°C (68–73°F). Try to avoid sweating
and being heated outdoors in the summer months.

The peak season for tourism in the summer when the weather is hot and dry. The weather
will be ideal, resulting in huge numbers, although wait times for popular attractions will be
lengthier. In the summer, plan ahead of time to arrange your accommodations and activities.

Even if the weather is not ideal, Paris looks lovely in the winter. Airfare and hotel bargains
are best found now, too. Even in the off-season, Paris has always been overrun with visitors.
Museums and historic places are excellent if you're planning on spending most of your time
there. There's also been more rain recently.

Where to Stay

There is minimal danger of violent crime in Paris. Pickpocketing is a major problem on
public transportation. Budget hotels and hostels are abundant in Paris. It is necessary to first
choose a neighborhood, and then search for the location inside that community.

How to Get Around

The Paris public transportation system is a broad and efficient one. Subways/metros stop on
every other block. 64 bus routes make it easy to go about in Paris' metro system. Four tram
routes in Paris encircle the city. They use the same ticketing system as the metro, RER, and
bus. Taxi service is available but is a little pricey.

Another alternative is RER Train. RER is an above-ground train that connects Paris with
Ile-de-France. It functions just like the metro, and you may use the same tickets to ride it
whether you're going north or south (unlike the metro). Traveling with connected metro lines
uses the same ticket. Velib is Paris' public bike-sharing service. If you bike for less than 30
minutes on a trip, you won't be charged beyond the membership cost.
