TASTY EXPLORATIONS OF
PIZZA AROUND THE WORLD

Millions of people throughout the world
love pizza, which is the ideal comfort food
and is available in a mouthwatering array
of varieties that represent the diverse
culinary traditions of many nations. Pizza
transcends national boundaries and
cultural differences. Join me, Terry Ing, as
we embark on a delectable worldwide
exploration to uncover some of the most
popular types of pizza.

PIZZA NEAPOLITANA
IN ITALIAN
Our trip through the history of pizza starts
in Italy, the birthplace of the dish, with the
classic Neapolitan pizza. Neapolitan pizza,
with its thin, chewy crust, fresh mozzarella
cheese, San Marzano tomato sauce, and
basil, is a testament to tradition and
simplicity. When baked in a wood-fired oven,
it acquires the perfect balance of flavors,
incorporating a hint of Italy into each bite.

New York-style Pizza in the United States
Crossing the Atlantic to the bustling streets of New York City, we are met with the iconic New York-style pizza.
The Big Apple is often associated with this particular variety of pizza because of its large, foldable slices, thin
crust, and generous amount of toppings. Regardless of whether you love classic cheese or adventurous
toppings like pepperoni and mushrooms, New York-style pizza is sure to be a piece of gastronomic heaven.

Heading west, we discover deep-dish pizza in the
Windy City, which is every bit as hefty and robust as
Chicago itself. Chicago deep-dish pizza, with its thick,
buttery crust, layers of cheese, toppings, and chunky
tomato sauce, is a comfort food lover's dream come
true. Baked in a deep pan, this indulgent dessert
accentuates the heartiness of Midwesterner food.
US-BASED CHICAGO
DEEP DISH PIZZA

PIZZA MARGHERITA
ITALIAN
Let us travel back to Italy and savor Margherita pizza, which is another
classic dish from that country. This pizza is a tribute to elegance and
simplicity and goes by the moniker Margherita of Savoy. Sprinkled with
fresh tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, basil, and olive oil, the classic
Margherita pizza is a taste of la dolce vita and represents the essence of
Italian culinary tradition.
