THE WHITE DOVE According to a biblical story, a dove was released by Noah after a flood in order to find land. It came back carrying an olive branch in its beak, telling that somewhere, there is land and that’s when the Christians used Noah’s dove as a symbol of peace…
The Swastika The swastika represents harmony and peace. Swastika can be found on temples or private homes throughout India.
RED – courage ORANGE - shows the vision of possibilities YELLOW - represents the challenge that GREEN has inspired GREEN – growth SKY BLUE- suggests to provide education and help to unfortunate people DARK BLUE- reminds us of less fortunate people VIOLET - warmth, beauty and friendship
The Origami Crane The origami crane is a famous symbol of peace in Japan which was made by one victim, a twelve year old girl, Sadoko Sasaki. Her story inspired millions of people around the world and her memory transformed the origami crane into an international symbol of peace and hope.
