Introduction
You are my other me.
If I do harm to you, I do harm to myself.
If I love and respect you, I love and respect myself.
~Luis Valdez
I work in San Diego, California, traditional lands of the indigenous
Kumeyaay/Kumiai- Tipai tribes; and work in a nation with Black
and African-Americans who, since 1769 and 1619 respectively,
suffered greatly under US authority, neither having been
sufficiently honored or compensated for their historic losses. I
work to live up to our promise of being 'one nation, indivisible,
with liberty and justice for all.'

DISCUSSION
Does helping understand the greater
criminal- legal and behavioral-health
ecosystem give you ideas of where
peers could plug in?
What types of Diversion courts are
used in your county?
Do you know how to contribute to
your local planning processes?
Do you have relationships with any
of the government or provider
planning stakeholders that you can
champion peer supports with?
