What is Hairdressing? Hairdressing is a creative skill that involves chemical and non-chemical reformation which includes hair and scalp treatment, coloring, cutting, and styling of the hair.
History of Shampoo Shampoo was originally meant as head massage in several North Indian language. Both the word and the concept were introduced to Britain from colonial India . The word shampoo in English is derived from Hindi CHAMPOO . Its English uses in Anglo Indians to date in 1762 in India. In India champoo was used for head massage usually in some form of oils. It was started in 1814 in Britain by Bengali Entrepreneur by Sake Dean Mohamad.

Materials and Implements Use for Shampooing Shampoo cape -used to protect the client’s clothing from getting wet.
Materials and Implements Use for Shampooing Towel- basically used as a drape along with shampoo cape to prevent the clothing of the client from getting wet. Another towel should be prepared to blot excess water from the hair.
Materials and Implements Use for Shampooing Shampoo- a hair care product designed to clean the scalp and hair. It also removes excess sebum in the hair follicles.
Materials and Implements Use for Shampooing Conditioner- a special chemical agent used as a moisturizer that helps in restoring the hair’s strength, gives body to the hair, and protects hair against breakage
Materials and Implements Use for Shampooing Wide toothed comb- a kind of comb used to gently brush wet, conditioned hair without causing breakage
Equipment used for Shampooing Shampoo chair- reclined chair with footrest to facilitate hair shampooing.
Equipment used for Shampooing Shampoo bowl- used to provide a full shampoo or to easily wet the hair in preparation for treatment. It has a curved cutout designed to accommodate the back of a client’s neck while the hair is washed.
Equipment used for Shampooing Shampoo bowl spray hose- equipped with stopper for fast and convenient washing and rinsing of hair.
CONDITIONING SHAMPOO also known as a moisturizing shampoo designed to make the hair appear smooth and shiny to improve the manageability of the hair Protein and biotin, that boost shampoos so that they can meet current grooming needs.
MEDICATED SHAMPOO contains special ingredients that are very effective in reducing dandruff or relieving other scalp conditions. must be prescribed by a physician. They can be quite strong and could affect the color of color-treated or lightened hair
CLARIFYING SHAMPOO contains an active chelating agent that binds to metals (such as iron and copper) and removes them from the hair well as an equalizing agent that enriches hair, helps retain moisture, and makes hair more manageable. Clarifying shampoo should be used when a build-up is evident, after swimming, and prior to all chemical services.

BALANCING SHAMPOO is advisable for oily hair and scalp. This helps wash away excess oiliness, while preventing the hair from drying out.
COLOR-ENHANCING SHAMPOO is created by combining the surfactant base with basic color pigment. It is similar to a temporary color rinse It is used to brighten and add a slight hint of color and to eliminate unwanted color tones, such as gold or brassiness and overly cool strands.
VOLUMIZING SHAMPOO slightly different than thickening shampoo. It makes hair appear fuller, bouncier and fuller of body. It's more about the texture of the hair than the thickness of the hair strand
