⚫M-Bus,shortforMeterBus,isadatabusdesignedforinformationtransmissionofconsumptionmeasuring
instrumentsandcounters.M-Bushasbeenwidelyappliedinbusinessandcollectionofdataonindustrial
energyconsumption.
⚫ThemaximumtransmissiondistanceoftheM-Busis1000m.AstheM-Buscansupplypowertoonsite
devices,nopowercableneedstobeconnected.Thepowersupplycapabilityofthebusis5A,andthecurrent
ofeachnodeneedstobelessthan0.65mA.
⚫TheM-Busnotonlyfulfillstheneedforthenetworkingandremotereadingofutilitymetersbutalsomeets
thespecificrequirementsoftheremoteorbatterypowersupplysystem.ThebustopologyoftheM-Busserial
communicationsmeetstherequirementsoftheutilitymetersforreliableandcost-effectivenetworking.
Hundredsofbackupdevicescanalsobeconnectedwithinadistanceofseveralkilometers.

⚫Powerlinecommunication(PLC)referstoamodeofcommunicationinwhichdataandmediasignalsaretransmittedonan
