Psychodynamic Approach To Religion
1) As a result of the immensely diverse nature of the phenomena it intends to understand, the study of
religion requires a multitude of analytic methods. Consequently, these methods may be categorized as
either being grounded in empirical analysis of biological, psychological, or physiological data
producing a perspective which is exclusively characterized as outsider. Thus, according to this
definition, Sigmund Freud s application of his Oedipus Complex theory is a near perfect example of
an explanatory Classical Psychological Approach to religion, claiming that individuals turn to an
omnipotent, benevolent father figure (Kanaris) alleviate the sexual anxiety which develops when
children begin viewing their parent of the opposite sex as an object of desire. In this sense, Freud
negatively reduces the phenomena to an infantile form of escapism from life s hardships. Furthermore,
Freud alleges that this immature psychological response will eventually give way to the more
excellent procedure of science. (Kanaris) This conclusion makes evident the foremost flaw of
conduction studies which are purely explanatory: they tend to be ... Show more content on

Specifically, Eliade sought to establish a framework for understanding the meaning and logic of
symbols that represent how the sacred manifests itself throughout the history of the various religious

in which key aspects found throughout history and across societies are drawn together to facilitate the
formulation of universal religious claims, Eliade stubbornly refuses to be confined to any one field of
the social sciences. Instead, he approaches religion exclusively through the eyes of the individual
beginning by imagining what qualities the ideal religious person would possess and then how they

The Trade Of Counterfeit Products Essay
Abstract:
India is a one of the key markets of counterfeit products in South Asia which has negatively affected
its economy since many years. The trade of counterfeit and pirated products hamper the development
of knowledge and innovation as it can greatly reduce the economic benefits for the original creator of
products. Widespread and rampant piracy and weak intellectual property rights (IPR) dilutes the
development of local industry and also endangers the huge investments made in research and
development work of organizations. This can lead to loss of competitive advantage as the
competitiveness of firms is driven by the firm s ability to innovate and create new products churned
from its knowledge capital. Counterfeiting and piracy can exist in the market from within or due to
imports from a foreign market but flourishing or controlling of it can be understood majorly by
understanding the attitude of Indian consumers towards purchase of counterfeit and pirated products.
The studies so far particularly considering IPR infringements have been skewed towards
Pharmaceuticals, Entertainment and Information Technology. This paper attempts to investigate and
understand the Indian consumers awareness of IPR infringements and their attitudes and intention
towards purchase of Home Appliances based on psychographic and demographic factors.
Keywords: IPR, Counterfeit, Piracy, Home Appliances, Consumer, Attitudes, India

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Starting A Joint Venture
As it has said, there are very good reasons to decide starting a Joint Venture. Joint ventures as a
strategic alliance between companies present lots of benefits for the different parties. They allow to
spread the risk between the venture partners. The co ventures agree to share profits and losses
depending on the risk taken by each of them. It allows flexibility due to its nature. Flexibility setting
the limits of the business, in structural organization and in decision making processes, overall in

The strategic alliance stablished in the first place should guide the analysis of success. Along the years
there have been lot of different approaches to this subject, the book International Joint Ventures:
Theory and Practice (Aimin Yang and Yadong Luo, 2001) explains a good amount of them. Therefore
depending on the aim of the Joint Venture it could be taken into account different indicators: increase
of profits, share R D expenses, market position, improvements in distribution channels, reducing of
overall costs, development of new technology, diversity of products, reduction of competition,
reduction of risks among others. There is no magic formula to measure the level of success of a Joint
Venture, each case has its own particularities and it has to be analyzed taking them into account. As a
general approach, the success of a Joint Venture should be determined by the distance between the

Jealousy In Mary Shelley s Frankenstein
Some argue that Mary Shelley did nothing shy from pouring her soul and heart into the novel
Frankenstein. Mary states that the novel was built off the happier times in her life, yet signs of
negative feelings, anger and jealousy can be found throughout the novel. In the 18th century novel
Frankenstein you can see many incidents where Mary Shelley s life was reflected into the writing. The
novel itself was set in multiple locations such as Geneva and England. These settings have a
connection to Mary Shelley s life. The novel begins with Geneva as the birth place of the protagonist.
The line I am by birth a Genevese, and my family is one of the most distinguished of that republic

The Assassination Of John Lennon
As the followers of the English singer and songwriter who is famous worldwide as a co founder of the
band Beatles John Lennon always do on December 8, they assembled at the Strawberry Fields
memorial in Central Park to sing a well known Beatles songs and they continue to hope for a world
that lives as one. The Tuesday s gathering was the 35th anniversary of John Lennon s killing, and was
showcased with the feeling of the miniature peace festival, as Lennon s admirers congregated in a
circle around a stone designed of the word Imagine graying men strummed guitars and emotionally
played a tambourine. In the online world, however, John Lennon s commemoration was intensely

Ban On Tobacco Advertising And The Conflict Of Interest...
Ban on Tobacco Advertisement in India
The discussion of advertising tobacco products is a controversial topic, there are relevant points on
both sides of the argument, so it is hard to determine a true ethical decision. India s government
announced the bill banning tobacco companies from advertising their products in February 2001, their
goal is to prevent adolescents from taking up smoking or any other form of tobacco products.
Initiating this bill is the government answer to an ethical challenge, they are protecting the health of
the entire country, rather than the financial future of one industry. (Bauer, 2016) Immediately, there
was an uproar that sparked this intense debate, arguments between health concerns versus
constitutional rights. In this paper I would like to discuss the pros and cons of banning the
advertisement of tobacco products and the conflict of interest that it presents.
In favor of the ban, there are multiple countries, such as France, Finland, and Norway, that have made
the decision to prohibit tobacco companies from promoting their products. This ban extends to
advertisements, as well as sponsorship of sporting and cultural events. While these countries have
been able to keep most of these ads off their television and radio outlets, there are still a few that have
been able to sneak by, through international programming. (IBS Center for Management Research,
n.d.) Tobacco is currently the most dangerous consumer product out there, it is highly

The Development of the Roman Catholic Church Essay
To speak of the development of the Roman Catholic Church, is as if to retell the entire story of
creation, all the way from Genesis to present day, and even into the future; because Ecclesia semper
reformanda est or the Church is always reforming itself and, Every valley must be filled and every
mountain and hill shall be made low. Therefore, it is best to look at a certain point in the life of this
particular religion, which, since the Church is always reforming itself , is not yet complete. The life of
the Church is not a dull, repetitive life; but a fascinating, sustained life; one that is similar to the

speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim. So, the disciples set out across the
world to proclaim to different nations in their own tongues and the Word of God was spread.
However, as Bishop Mark J. Seitz of El Paso has noted, eventually, a sort of headquarters must be set
up, so that there is an order to this religion that is still in its official birth; and that, is where the Papacy
comes in to play. The papacy was another indirect action of the Savior. He told Peter, Feed my lambs,
emphasizing his point by repeating, Tend my sheep, and made Peter realize the importance of what he
was saying by repeating yet again, Feed my sheep. And in such manner, he made it clear that he
wanted Peter to take on the responsibility Jesus had not so subtly implied was Peter s for the taking.
God was wise in his decisions once again, and had chosen Peter to be the Prince of the Apostles for a
reason, because the good (new) Catholic was obedient and took up his cross, becoming the first Pope
ever. According to Bishop Mark J. Seitz, even if Jesus hadn t made it clear that he was to lead his
people, the apostles would ve known and would ve understood and probably would ve let him become
the first Bishop of

Linux Based Systems Are Modular Unix Like Oss Build A...
Linux based systems are modular Unix like OSs build a large part of its component from 1970s and
1980s UNIX principles. They apply a monolithic kernel, commonly identified as the Linux kernel to
execute process control, access to peripherals, file system management and networking tasks. Lonix
OS drivers are either directly integrated with the kernel or come in as additional modules created
while the system is awake. Independent developments with kernel interface improve the functionality
and performance. GNU user land association with Linux based systems provides majority executions
in the C library, a command line interface (CLI) shell and the most common tools of UNIX to carry
out performance execution. A GUI is created on each implementation of the X windows system. A
recent development of the Linux OS is the use to Wayland display server protocol replacing the X11.
Ubuntu has made progressive developments of the Mir a diversion of Wayland.

Children s Development As An Integral Part Of A Child...
Play is important in a child s development as it helps in the child s cognitive, emotional, physical and
social development. It is through play that the child is able to interact and engage with the world
around them and discover new things such as the objects they fiddle with and the lessons that they will
soon learn from interacting with toys and people. Under article 31 (leisure, play and culture) of the
United Nations Convention of the Rights of the Child, play has been recognized as being an integral
part of a child s development, to which children have the right to relax and play, and to join in a wide
range of cultural, artistic and other recreational activities .

lives such as how their mothers pour tea into teacups for guests or older family members and copies
this action when they line their stuffed toys around them and taking on the motherly role, pouring tea
out of teapots for the stuffed toys. Here we see children taking on realistic adult roles that they have
observed which may help them better understand what one of the many motherly roles might be, and
by understanding, they build a new schema in their brain in relation to what a mother is and in the
process, learn something new.
Play can help develop a child s emotional aspect with the use of transitional objects. Transitional
objects such as a child s teddy bear or doll can act as the child s first stepping stone into reality, which
might be too complicated for the child to handle all by himself. Emotionally difficult situations to a
child such as not receiving enough love or craving for more love from adult figures but yet, unable to
gain it, may turn to his teddy bear for comfort and a sense of belonging. In this case, playing with the
teddy bear can downplay the feeling of hurt and help in

Throughout The Duration And Both Plays, Hamlet And Othello,
Throughout the duration and both plays, Hamlet and Othello, the theme of revenge presides over the
plot heavily. From the sin of Claudius killing Hamlet senior to Othello giving Cassio the title of
lieutenant both ignite fierce opposition with the thought of retribution. Though there is opposition to
those two decisions, nothing follows with any order or morality. Instead of serving proper justice to
Claudius or disagreeing with Othello s decision, the two men are brought to utter catastrophe. As
Hamlet and Iago lead their own charge against the people who have wronged them, many red flags
raise about their mental states. Hamlet and Iago both display proper criteria for Bipolar 1 Disorder

They understand he is still grieving his father s death but that does not justify him to following a ghost
alone somewhere unknown. Marcellus and Horatio know Hamlet s safety could be in jeopardy so they
try holding him back. When Hamlet realizes the resistance from his men, he yells out still am I called.
Unhand me, gentlemen. By heaven, I ll make a ghost of him that lets me! I say, away! Go on. I ll
follow thee (Ham. I. v. 55). This serious episode that Hamlet displays is showing his lack of regard
towards his men. Hamlet threatens death to Marcellus and Horatio by not letting him go, which in the
moment they were only trying to protect him from harm. The men believe the uncertain entity is
threatening to all of them and Hamlet does not seem to acknowledge where the guards are coming
from. Within the American Psychological Association manual, manic speech is characterized by
complaints, hostile comments, or angry tirades, particularly if attempts are made to interrupt the
individual (A.P.A. Sect. II). The fact that Hamlet s moment with the guards exactly mirrors what the
official manual states is very evident that Hamlet does suffer from manic episodes. Progressing
through the play, Hamlet is seen not just in manic states but depressed states. These are his low points
and are, in most cases, the other side of Bipolar 1 Disorder. During his to be or not to be speech,
Hamlet talks about life in a very depressive

Equality 7-2521 Research Paper
Equality 7 2521: A Lone Scholar Living in a Society of Street Sweepers
Robert Green Ingersoll, a lawyer, Civil War veteran, and political leader, once said that It is a blessed
thing that in every age some one had had the individuality enough and courage enough to stand by his
own convictions. In Ayn Rand s novel Anthem, Equality 7 2521 represents this salient being. Equality
has never been destined to be a street sweeper, instead, it is a sinister motive of the Council that
determines his position. This is proven by several aspects throughout the book, encompassing the idea
that Equality has been set aside from society from a young age, Equality is an individual in a
communistic society, and that the Council has had unjust determinations ... Show more content on

Equality is often locked in the cellar as a child, more so than the other children, for being taller and
more intelligent than his teachers. In Anthem s society, It is not good to be different from [your]
brothers, but it is evil to be superior to them (Rand 21). This saying, told to Equality multiple times by
his teachers for excelling in his lessons, indicates that Equality is evil, for being intelligent. He often
understands the subject matter of his lectures before the teachers have even completed the curriculum.
Equality himself states that No single one can possess greater wisdom than the many Scholars who are
elected by all men for their wisdom. Yet [I] can. [I] do (54). Equality is one of the smartest mortals in
his society, and he even goes so far as to say that he is more intellectual than members of the Home of
the Scholars. Equality s treatment by his teachers justifies that his occupation as a street sweeper was a
sinister motive because his intelligence could lead to him surpassing the influence of the Council, if
citizens decide to depend upon the man bringing them new innovations in science and

A Tour of the Human Body
Welcome to our Fantastic Voyage! On this journey, we will explore how nutrients are consumed and
passed through the human body before they are finally expelled. This journey will take us through the
digestive, circulatory, and digestive systems. Our journey will begin after we enter our male test
subject s system by inconspicuously entering the digestive system as part of his delicious, all

will begin as we enter the body through the mouth. As we are thrown about the oral cavity, please note
how mastication allows our delicious meal to be broken down by saliva and the simultaneous grinding
of the food by the test subject s teeth. It is important to note the different types of teeth that we see. As
we move from the center of the mouth towards the back you will notice that there are two sets of
incisors, a set of canines, and a set of premolars, which are followed by first and second molars
(Thibodeau, 1992). The clear substance that is secreted all around us during this process is called

Scotch Tape. This is a great example of a way 3M has a company help them market a product as well
as both companies. Appendix 3 shows a great example of a Scotch Tape advertisement that also
benefits 3M. Even though the companies are technically connected, it is a great way to market them as
individual companies almost which brings focus not only to Scotch but to 3M as a whole. This

The Censorship Of Singapore ( Mda )
The practise of censorship the restriction of ideas, action or image through the control of the media or
any other medium of expression. Censorship should be practised sensibly so that it will not restrict the
development and expression of new ideas while ensuring that social and political harmony is assured.
Censorship plays a vital role in maintaining the morals of its society and creating an economically
dynamic, socially cohesive and culturally vibrant nation. (N.A, N.D) The press exert a significant
influence on the public and is partly responsible for the views and values that many hold. Hence, it
should be responsible with what it put forth to the public. Singapore has gradually moved from film
censorship to film classification and now to the focus on media literacy. Media Authority of Singapore
(MDA) plays a significant role in regulating and conducting matters pertaining to the media. It is
guided by legislation/acts such as Media Development Authority of Singapore Act, code of practice
and guideline to comply and enforce the entities. In this term paper, we will discuss how the media
handle censorship and classification related matters as well as reviewing the Films Appeal Committee
under the films act policy. In this regard, recommendations will also be given on how to improve the
clause.
The media environment has undergone major changes, driven largely by the forces of technology,
media convergence and globalisation. (Media Development Authority, 2014) As

The Importance Of The Five Pillars Of Islam
In order to fully understand a religion, one must first grasp the very core the religion is built upon. To
understand Islam, one must understand the 5 Pillars of Islam before they can truly appreciate the
religion in its entirety. This begs the question, what are the 5 Pillars of Islam and what do they mean?
The 5 Pillars of Islam in order are Shahadah, Salah, Zakat, Sawm, and Hajj. (Islam Explained Video)
Shahadah, the First Pillar of Islam, is an article of faith and is explained by renown Historian Keith
Hughes in his video Islam Explained: Religions in Global History as a confession where one must say,
there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. (Islam Explained Video)
The Second Pillar of Islam is Salah, which refers to prayer. (Islam PowerPoint) To complete the
Second Pillar one must pray 5 times a day facing Mecca. (Islam PowerPoint) Starting before Sunrise
the five daily prayers are Fajr, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and ending with Isha. (Islam PowerPoint). Similar
to Christianity, Moslems go to church, or the mosque, except their day of worship is Friday. (Islam
PowerPoint) After completing Salah, the next pillar is Zakat, the pillar of charity. This pillar means
exactly what one might think, giving money to people in need of it. In countries with governments
based from Islam, a tax is mandated by the government telling each person how much they need to
give to the poor. (Islam PowerPoint) The Fourth Pillar of Islam, Sawm, translates to

A Telephone Call Dorothy Parker Analysis
A Telephone Call by Dorothy Parker Dorothy Parker was born in 1893 at her parents summer home in
New Jersey. Unfortunately, her childhood was very rough. Her mother and her step mother died when
Parker was still a child. She attended a Catholic grammar school, but ended her formal education by
the time she was fourteen years of age. In her late teenage years another catastrophe hit, her uncle was
on the notorious Titanic ship that sunk and he did not make it. Parker s series of unfortunate events did
not finish, her father passed away a year later. Parker sold her first poem to Vanity Fair and her first
collection of poetry Enough Rope was published in 1926 and became a best seller. She later worker
for Vogue when she was twenty two years old. She wrote poems for newspapers and magazines while
she worked for Vogue, however she joined Vanity Fair to work as a drama critic later on. The same
year she became a drama critic, she married a stockbroker which lasted about ten years (Poets.org).
Her marriage, however, was quite turbulent and rocky. As an adult, Parker suffered severe depression
and alcoholism. These issues led her to several suicide attempts that she thankfully survived. After her
failed first marriage, she married an actor writer in 1934. This marriage lasted for thirteen years before
both sides decided to divorce, but they remarried three years later. As if Parker had enough tragedies

The Importance Of Response To Intervention
Response to Intervention, commonly known as RtI, is a multi tier approach to the early identification
and support of students with learning and behavior needs (Learn About RtI, para. 1, n.d.). New York
State requires many things for the RtI program. These requirements include: appropriate instruction,
instruction matched to the students needs, repeated assessments of the student s achievement,
implementation of student information to make educational decisions, students must be screened, and
parents must be notified (What is RtI, 2017).
RtI level one, which is also known as Tier 1, involves all students. All students receive a classroom

Richards, we discussed how the teachers within our school study the data of each student. She
explained that data needs to be collected for all interventions and that it is very important to have at
least six to eight weeks of data. The intervention should have specific target skills and goals. Student
goals should be created so that they can have quantifiable data. For example they should be written as
Jimmy will read 40 out of 46 sight words instead of Jimmy will increase his reading skills. Also the
goals should be created so that the target is something that is attainable in a six to eight week
intervention period. Many teachers create an intervention binder or folder for their students to collect
data in. The school district I am in uses a form that has the goal, skill, date of intervention, data of
progress, and other components on it so that teachers use a uniform data sheet that can be understood

Observation Of A Simulus Observation
Stimulus Observation Step 1
Recently, I observed a conversation on vaping which supposedly causes mold and burns in the lungs.
This caused us to pause and think, why do people try things which we all know are bad? The
conversation began as we brought up something about vaping and if it had negative effects. I
remembered that I had once heard that mold can grow on vape user s lungs when the vapor and
chemicals reach the membrane. Upon hearing this news others needed reassurance, so we looked for
information on the subject. As we brought up this fact, another participant asked ¨Why do people vape
or smoke when they know it is bad for them?¨ This question brings to mind our ability as Americans
for self control and the human will.
Step 2
We often think that surviving is our number one top priority or instinct, but we can also observe many
willingly killing themselves, albeit, slowly. In another sense each time one takes a drag of smoke or
vapor and harms themselves we would expect them to realize this is not helpful but actually harmful
to their survival, and throw down the habit. Instead we see them urged to use more and more until we
call it an unhealthy addiction. Although it is frowned upon in American culture to smoke or use
tobacco of any kind, vaping, which can as has also been seen to be harmful, is seen as perfectly
socially acceptable. Even though we know both smoking and vaping are harmful, one is new, exciting,
and claims to be less harmful. Americans often see these transitions and think very little of them, but
they both have similar ill effects we just choose to ignore one and not the other. Our culture decides
what is bad, fine, or even good not based on fact or research, but our understanding and feelings of the
questioned problem. Americans do not care if something causes a problem unless it is immediate and
noticeable. Americans are stubborn in some ways but very open in another, we are often very wishy
washy. The modern culture can t seem to look down the line and see consequences of our present
actions. The American population, resonating with this thought process, only want fast action and
immediate results. When this does not occur we find any possible way of forcing it to happen

Musical Theatre School Admission Essay Sample
Musical theatre first sparked my interest in the summer between my fourth and fifth grade year, when
I decided to participate in a local theater camp. Immediately, I knew that this world of lime lights and
drama was where my dreams and passions would come to fruition. Ever since, I have dedicated
myself to creating a life and a career in musical theatre. My academics have always been my top
priority, musical theatre coming next. I have been both home schooled and enrolled in public school. I
feel very lucky to have experienced both schooling options. Homeschool shaped me to be a motivated
learner because I had to make the decision to get up and work through all my homework and lessons
through the day. Public schools allowed me to better my social skills, working with other people,
become a leader, and knowing when to follow. Although some may look at my academic career and
think that it would be hard to go to multiple schools, I think it was very important to my development
when I was growing up. I moved from Texas to Colorado when I was thirteen and eighth grade
through sophomore year I was enrolled in four different schools. I was homeschooled in two different
programs then I went to a different high school for my freshman year and my sophomore year.

The Battle Of Gettysburg By Michael Shaara Essay
The Battle of Gettysburg, within the writings of Michael Shaara, is written in a narrative form
retelling the events of the battle giving the reader the ability to visualize each scene as it unfolded in
the past. The Battle of Gettysburg can be defined as the turning event during the Civil War. One of the
bloodiest battles fought on American soil, Shaara explains the Battle of Gettysburg through the
brutality the war brought. The Confederates fought on the offensive side and the Union defended the
high ground. The foretelling of these events is told through the eyes and minds of the Generals,
Colonels, and soldiers. In The Killer Angels, Michael Shaara explains in detail the plans, the execution
of those plans, and how the soldiers reacted during each day. Shaara explains the means to which men
will justify their actions during war to use tactics that show glory and how the idea of winning leads to
a blindness towards other possibilities. He justifies this claim by giving an insight into the feelings and
justification for the actions between the Union and the Confederates, the emotions of the Generals and
Colonels to emphasize the reality of war, and the impact an offensive assault from the Confederates
had on the morale of the Confederate and Union armies.
Shaara provides a play by play of each day, through the eyes of both sides, during each chapter and
section in The Killer Angles. Beginning with the Confederate troops, Shaara conveys the importance

The Pros And Cons Of The Salem Witchcraft Trials
The Massachusetts Salem witch craft trials, this was a complicated time in history. With the conflict of

give Puritans religious rights, the Salem Massachusetts witch craft trials began. This conflict led to
trails where the government convicted men and woman of practicing witch craft, thus being hanged.
Though this compromise stopped the witchcraft practicing, the government realized those men and

The emphasis on satanic influence and belief in the inferiority of women as conduits of evil made
Puritan communities particularly vulnerable to the hysteria that was constantly inflamed by the
dangerous and uncertain conditions of colonial life. The community atmosphere of seventeenth
century Massachusetts was one of isolationism, paranoia, and repression. Modern historians have
discerned a pattern of crisis and subsequent hysteria among the Puritan villages. Communities in
colonial Massachusetts were extremely vulnerable to famine, attacks from neighboring Indian tribes,
epidemics, and general economic hardship. Communities would generally band together during these
times of crisis, but as soon as the crisis had passed, they would vent their tension and fear by lashing
out at neighbors with accusations of witchcraft as the underlying cause of the crisis. People from
Europe began coming to the U.S to have their religious freedom. In 1691, the new rulers of England,
Mary and William, created a new religious charter, instead of reissuing the old charter, and also
combined the Massachusetts, Plymouth Colony and several other colonies into one. The new charter
and regime basically continued the policies of the Dominion of New England. The puritans, who had

The Girl Child
The Girl Child
The very fact that the girl child has become a topic of discussion and debate, points to the fact that,
this is something different to the other of the human species. The girls have always and everywhere
been considered to be lesser of the two beings of the human species. Why this has come to be, is
beyond our comprehension, but, the fact remains that, the girl has not only been considered as the
lesser, but has always been really neglected also. It can not be imagined how this situation came into
being but, the sadder and more shocking situation is when, in the 20th century we call ourselves
highly civilized, cultured and educated and all else, the girl still finds it more and more difficult to
subsist on this planet. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So, what is happening to the girls now is that, though the awakening to their rights has come among
women, they are finding it an uphill task to fight it out with the authority of men, who are naturally
not liking the coming up of women. On the other hand the man, who always thought that he was the
superior being, finds it rather taxing to adjust to the idea of women coming up to their standards.
In this scenario, the girl child has a doublefold war front to fight it out for herself one being the older
women who do not allow the girl to rise, as, they do not seem to understand the need for it, and the
other is the male counterpart who have the fear of seeing her become an equal as, this will snatch
away from the man his centuries old platform of domination from him. In reality, what the present
situation is in India is also true about the whole world but of course it is not as bad as it is in India and
this is because of lack of education among the girls.
The girl child who has till now been an object of disgust, hate and wrath should become an object of
care and nurturing. This can happen only if and when both women and men develop an attitudinal
change, and realize the fact that, the girl is also as much of a human being as the boy, with her own
desires and aspirations and capacities. She should not be treated as a mere item of

Why Was Charles Town Difficult Essay
Why was Charles Town Difficult to Settle? Settlers that came to America, specifically Charles Town,
always had hope but their futures were never certain. The Spanish were the first Europeans to explore
South Carolina. More land meant more riches and power, which is exactly what they were looking for.
Unfortunately they ran into some problems such as unfavorable weather, sickness, low food supplies,
and rancor from the natives therefore, the Spanish departed. About four decades later, Jean Ribault
brought a group of French Huguenots to South Carolina in search of religious freedom. Along with the
French, the Spanish made several attempts, but didn t succeed. In 1621, a grant was given to Sir
Robert Heath by King Charles I of England to try and settle the area below the Virginia colony. The
first attempt failed and he lost the grant, but later Charles II rewarded eight men with the ownership of

Atomic Bomb Essay
The Atomic Bomb was the deadliest weapons in the history of war. Throughout World War II one of
the most stubborn countries to surrender was Japan who relentlessly fought against the United States
of America. After failing to defeat America, Japan was overwhelmed by allied forces. Staying with
tradition however, Japan would rather die in battle than to surrender. The Soviet Union also fought
against America but that was towards the end of the war. The United States dropped both of the

How I Can Become An Ideal Project Manager
Since I have no experience as a project manager, according what I have collected from above
literatures and what I have perceived in my own point of view, I have the following ideas of how I can
become an ideal project manager.
1. To be a leader
During the past years of working, I have always played the role of team member but never tried to
lead a team to actually accomplish a project, so the most challenging trait for me to learn as a project
manager is to be a leader.
I now know that a project leader should do a lot more than plan, organise, control, coordinate, monitor
and closure. While such activities are all very important and must be correctly done, those functions
are not enough for a good leader to accomplish. That is to say, ... Show more content on

3) Leadership means dealing with risks
During the process of a project, various kind of risk is inevitable because of uncertainties. There is
always possibility for threats which may harm the success or completion of the project.
As a leader, it is best to eliminate the risk before it really cause any loss of the project, which requires
prospective and forward thinking. They are always looking for better ways to take actions on potential
risks. And when risk really happens, leaders should be able to take the procedure to minimize the
adverse effect of a possible loss, which requires fresh information at any time. The leader should be
competent to abstract useful information and find the most efficient ways to deal with risks.
4) Leadership means the ability to motivate those around you
To motivate people to realize their maximum potential, a good leader can is get all the team members
to perform enthusiastically, confidently. As people around you are from different cultures, motivating
implies listening, trusting, empowering, coaching, enable them to work discreetly and creatively.
2. Capable of continual and effective monitor
Control and monitor are an important part of every project manager s job, in this part, the project
manager should always think about how to keep the project on track, on time and within budget.
To be honest, I am not a very persistent man, so keep

The Flea, Rochester s The Imperfect Enjoyment
Dysfunction seems to be a common theme throughout many of the literature readings, which were
required over the course of this semester. The literary texts I am going to write about are the
following: John Donne s The Flea, Rochester s The Imperfect Enjoyment, The Maids Complaint, and
Aphra Behn s The Disappointment. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the definition of
dysfunction is, any abnormality or impairment of function. In my opinion, The Flea, The Imperfect
Enjoyment, The Maids Complaint, and The Disappointment are four examples of sexual dysfunction
in the texts we have read for this course. The exploration of the four texts is sexual dysfunction.
Sexual dysfunction described in the ballad and poems are taken on as a humorous topic or can be read
as not only a sexual dysfunction but some men views on women in society and their own anxieties ...

The Accomplishments Of Julius Caesar
What was Julius and Augustus status as a soldier and their military accomplishments? How did they
obtained their titles as dictators and emperors? Julius Caesar and Caesar Augustus were both great
military leaders, having many military accomplishments. Both worked hard to become the dictators
and emperors they were.
Julius Caesar started as a military tribune making ready to become a Consul. One of the world s most
vital military pioneers was regularly acquainted with a senatorial, patrician family and was the nephew
of another observed Roman general, Marius. Julius military accomplishments were that he was known
never to have lost ever a single war. These were extraordinary triumphs that legitimated the
consolidation the Gaul as part of the Roman Empire, increasing the geographical reaches of Rome to
the Atlantic Ocean. The Roman invasion of Britain in 55 B.C. was moreover one of the genuine
achievements of Julius Caesar
Augustus military accomplishments were that he was part of Caesar s military expedition to Spain to
destroy the offspring of Pompey, his vanquished foe. They were endeavoring to carry on their father s
rivalry with Caesar. Augustus was inspecting and engaging military planning in Apollonia, Illyria.
Rejecting the urging of some of his officers to take refuge with the troops in Macedonia, he traveled to

Hypertension Of Hypertension And Secondary Hypertension
Hypertension is defined as blood pressure greater than 140/90 mm Hg on two or more blood pressure
readings taken at each of two or more visits after initial screening. There are two types of hypertension
which are the primary (essential) hypertension and secondary hypertension. Essential hypertension is
referred to patients with hypertension without any secondary identifiable cause. Secondary
hypertension has an identifiable cause, such as renal artery stenosis or pheochromocytoma, and is
managed as part of the primary condition (Papadakis, 2014).
The Joint National Committee published JNC 7 in 2003 which established different classification of
hypertension. According to JNC 7, blood pressure was considered normal when systolic was less than
120 mmHg and diastolic was less than 80 mmHg. The prehypertension range was systolic 120 139
mmHg or diastolic 80 89 mmHg. Stage 1 hypertension was categorized as systolic of 140 159 mmHg
or diastolic 90 99. Stage 2 hypertension was categorized as systolic greater than 160 mmHg or
diastolic greater than 100 mmHg (JNC 7, 2003).
Hypertension is a major medical problem in America with high morbidity and mortality. According to
Center for Disease Control statistics released on 2015, it is estimated that about 70 million American
adults have high blood pressure, with a ratio of 1 out of every 3 adults in America living with

Abigail Adams Critique

Abigail Adams Book Critique In the novel, Abigail Adams: A Revolutionary American Woman,
Charles Akers portrays the life of a strong, revolutionary woman named Abigail Adams. She was
known as the first lady of the United States under John Adams and she played an indirect role in
influencing the American Revolution. She is called one of the founders of the country for her
revolutionary thinking and her being a rights activist. Abigail Adams faced many hardships throughout
her life. She was the daughter of a minister and had two sisters and a brother. In the 1700 s, children
did not have a high survival rate due to the amount of diseases and nothing to treat them with. Abigail
Adams said in her old age that she was always sick (Akers 5). This reminds people how tough life was
in the 1700 s and how easy it was to pass away from a mere cold. Abigail also did not have any
education growing up. Women, in the colonial era, were not supposed to have an education and were
supposed to watch the kids, cook, and clean. Readers of this book learn that many women back then
were illiterate and were self taught, if they had any education. Abigail did find a love for literature due

Dixon and McCarthy fought for 70 rounds and both wore two ounce gloves. After the exhausting 70
round duel it was ruled a draw. On June 27, 1890 after Dixon won his first title, he defeated Nunc
Wallace, who was the holder of the British world bantamweight title. Little Chocolate controlled the
fight from the beginning, and knocked out Nunc Wallace in only the eighteenth round. (Roberts Skutt,
1997) Dixon knocked out his next bantamweight challenger Johnny Murphy in 1891, which further
proved that he deserved the bantamweight title. In the same year, Dixon and McCarthy had a rematch
and Dixon knocked McCarthy. Two years after being champion in the bantamweight division, Little
Chocolate outgrew the weight standards for the bantamweight class. He then moved up to the

Judges and Ruth Essay
Contrast the moral and responsible behavior of the Israelites between Judges 16 19 and Ruth 1 4
Even though God s people are unfaithful to him, he would still be faithful to them. In the book of
Judges there are twelve individuals who are considered saviors. They save their own tribes or a
number of tribes from these invaders or tribes that were not intended to be in control of Canaan.
However, the Israelites allowed them to control those sections of Canaan. Those that delivered the
Israelites were called Judges, meaning they delivered the Israelites from their oppressors. In Judges
Chapter 16, Samson is an example of a person who was initially faithful and obeyed God and was a
savior and deliverer of Israel. He became unfaithful to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A group of homosexual men require the man to come with them in order to have sexual relations with
him; however, the concubine is offered up instead. The men then proceed to rape the concubine and
her dead body is placed upon the doorstep. Her husband then dismembers her body and sends her
parts all over Israel in order to exonerate himself and his sin. Therefore the Gibeahans in relation to
the primary commission were found not be subduing their land fairly due to sexual perversion, sexual
ethics, stealing, idolatry and murder. Because Israel had no king, everybody did what they considered
to be right in their own eyes. Israelites are found to be sinking into their own interests according to
relativism and doing whatever they believe based upon not having a king. Ruth expresses an example
of faithfulness through her immigration. Ruth is originally from Moab and marries Noami s son who
eventually dies. One daughter in law remained in Moab while Ruth decides to return to Israel with
Naomi and become a part of the Israel nation. Naomi and Ruth are both considered widows in which
makes them an example of the weak to whom justice should be dealt. Ruth gleans in the fields in order
to make a living to care for her and

Marriage In The Merchant s Tale Essay
Julie Rowland
Mrs. Toppin
English IV
10/6/14
Marriage in The Merchant s Tale Early British writing like The Canterbury s Tale section of The
Merchant s Tale written by Geoffrey Chaucer, the father of English poetry, reflect on social values.
Much of the tale speaks about a marriage that over flows of vices. Societies vision of how marriages
should work, display the vices of holy matrimony. The corruptness of societies views on marriage lead
to a loveless marriage. Chaucer reflects on how much societies views influenced marriages in the
1300 s; he shows this by using conflicts in marriage of man verses himself, women versus herself, and
man versus women. Marriages in the 1300 s have to deal with the conflict of man verses himself due
to the roles and powers society believes a man should full fill instead of the way a man wants to
operate. The Merchant s Tale illustrates through January s decision about marriage, how he accepts
what he has to perform in the holy bond. Matrimony proves corrupt due to societies view. Rosalyn
Rossignol states in her book, Chaucer: A Literary Reference to His Life and Work, that January s
decision on the virtues of marriage does not blind his vices and that he tries to convince himself that
he has honorable reason for wanting a wife. (175 176). Chaucer states that January has lust for a wife,
for who he can have intercourse with, without it being a sin (1258 1264).This shows his lust for
women because society tells him his wife should

Personal Narrative-Magnet School
On January 8, 2001, I was born as the 5th child of Antonio Ramirez and Angelica Prieto. Due to
assimilation in western countries, cultural names will bring prejudice associations, I was named
Britney Trish Ramirez. I was born the youngest of two brothers, Anthony and Neil, and two sisters,
Angelica and Ascencion. Although I was born in Dallas, Texas, my parents who are Mexican
immigrants, raised us speaking Spanish and in Mexican culture. Growing up, we lived (and currently
live) in Oak Cliff. At around age 3, I went to pre school, at a charter school named Mi Escuelita. My

I enrolled and then attended. During middle school, I became conscious about social issues in the
world. This caused me to see things differently, which did end up in me losing friends. In seventh
grade, my grandmother who was a mother to me, passed away from terminal cancer. It was another
hard loss for my family and me. In eighth grade I applied to five schools but only got into two, ESSM
and Mountainview Early College. I decided to come here since this school has more experience. It
wasn t my choice high school, but I am still glad I get to come to a magnet school. On August 24,
2015, I started high school. With an uncertain future ahead of me, I entered the school with a mindset
towards greatness. At first, I was sad about starting high school because it meant I was getting closer
to becoming an adult, but now I am just scared of not being at the top of my class, not getting into my
choice universities/colleges, and not getting really high scores on my SAT/ACT, PSAT, and AP exams.

What Is the Current Laws Relating to the Implication of...
The current Victorian laws on the implication of the duty of good faith in commercial contracts run in
parallel with Commonwealth laws in this area. In both jurisdictions the law in respect to both the
scope and nature of the duty of good faith is relatively unsettled. Judicial and jurisdictional
discrepancies surrounding rulings on the duty of good faith is evident. This is the case even though the
High Court of Australia has acknowledged the existence and potential scope of the duty of good faith
as important issues It is yet to expressly consider the matter in detail . As such, debate in various
Australian authorities concerning the existence and content of the implied...duty of good faith and fair
dealing is commonplace. Each state s courts have delivered varying judgments on the scope,
interpretation and application of the implied duty of good faith in a commercial context. Victoria has
diverged most notably from the NSW interpretation whereby Victoria generally implies the duty of
good faith in fact rather than in law . Currently, there is much debate over what constitutes good faith .
However, both jurisdictions have tended to agree on the conflated nature of the concepts of the
implied terms of good faith and reasonableness and the obligation requiring parties to not act
capriciously . The courts also tend to share a reluctance to conclude that commercial contracts are of
the class which requires the universal implication of the duty of good faith . However,

Great Hammerhead Research Paper
Hammerheads are usually talked about as if it was just one creature but in a matter of fact the
hammerhead shark comes in nine different species. The largest of the species is the Great hammerhead
shark, they can range from 3.4m to 6m long and 225kg to 450kg in weight, the females are larger than
the males but males mature at an earlier stage, although smaller sizes are more commonly found. The
hammerhead sharks habitat is offshore in water depths of 300m, also in shallow coastal areas like
continental shelves and lagoons. The hammerhead moves poleward when migrating to get to cooler
waters when it is the summer season, which is caused by the abiotic factors. The young swim mostly
in shallow waters along the shores almost all over the world ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

They have a great sense of smell so they are able to scout out food without too much trouble.
Hammerheads also eat fish, octopus, squid and sometimes other sharks, even its own young if food
was scarce. There have been reports that when food is scarce they will turn on each other so they
could survive. The stingray is the hammerheads favourite food source. Hammerhead sharks, although
dangerous, are keen eaters of stingrays. They patiently search the ocean floor for a buried stingray and
when they have located one it sneaks up behind and pins the ray to the floor using its abnormal sizes
head, slowly devouring it while it s alive.
Out of the many 10 known species of hammerhead sharks, only a small 3 of them have been known to
be reasonably dangerous to humans. This consists of the Scalloped Hammerhead, Great hammerhead
and the smooth hammerhead. Since 2013 there have been 33 recorded hammerhead shark attacks, but
no deaths have become of them. The Scalloped and Great hammerhead sharks have been listed as
endangered on the IUCN 2008 s red list but the smalleye hammerhead shark is only rated as
vulnerable. The reason these sharks have been rated as this is because of the over

Tell mom I love her, said Trevor as he got up and attacked the man in the passenger seat. Trevor had
managed to slip from the rope that bound his hands. In the vicious struggle for the weapon sitting in
the man s lap a shot had been fired piercing through Vicente s head splattering blood and the particles
of his remorseless mind on the driver s side window. Vicente s Tahoe was the first SUV in the lineup
driving down the road. Without a living driver the SUV veered to the right off the road into the desert.
As the Tahoe drove off the road Trevor won the battle for the rifle, quickly shooting and killing the
man in the passenger seat. The truck slowed as it drove further into the desert. 500 yards later the
Tahoe struck a cactus bring the Tahoe came to a stop. Trevor s shaky hands released the bond that
bound John s hands. The other men were quickly approaching. Live your life, for both of us, said
Trevor. What are you saying we are going to both live our lives, said John. You have always been the
smart one, you have a future, be somebody for us. I will get out the left door and you will get out the
right door, I want you to run as hard as you can. Don t look back, just run, said

Learning Theory And Its Impact On Education
Learning is essential in today s society as education becomes significant as economy advances. How
each learns varies, and there are different approaches used for learning. Learning leads to enduring
change in a person, and it is quite a dynamic process where the knowledge and skills to the learner are
different after the learning.
Learning theories as the conceptual frameworks that describe ways in which information gets
absorbed, processed as well as retained in a learning process. Getting an understanding of knowledge
development enables the teacher define methodology; to ensure effective teaching, attending to how
the learner learns ensures that the practices used by the teacher are enhanced.

The Darwinian thinking was also incorporated by Brunner in his basic assumptions on learning. He
supposed that prime evolution and human culture were necessary for understanding growth and
development. Individual differences and lack of standard sequence is also a basis for thinking. He
implements the concept that culture moulds mind and gives a raw material for constricting the world
and self conception (Bruner, 2009).
The characteristics of the Bruner s theory include;
Predisposition to learn that states that experience moves the learner towards the desire of learning.
The structure of knowledge; knowledge allows learner to be able to grasp ready information. The
structures vary, and preferences also vary.
The modes of representations in learning are words, visuals, and symbols
Effective sequencing; there is no specific sequence that will fit every learner. Sequencing can ease
making learning cumbersome.
The constructivist view learning as a means for mental construction through combination of already
existing knowledge with fresh information to create a meaning. The theorist gave a proposal the
learning is active, involves contextual process, social activity geared on getting a meaning and the
learner becomes a responsible agent contextualize what is perceived and understood in the
surrounding. The learner gets to interact with the immediate environment to conceptualize.
Constructivism is divided into cognitive and
