ELECTRONICS AT THE CORE SENSORS MICROCONTROLLER ACTUATORS These are the Electronic Eyes. Photodiodes or Photovoltaic cells are used. Monitors the sun’s position & intensity. It is System’s Brain. It processes information received from sensors. It calculates the angle of solar panels so that they are always towards Sun. They are Electronic Muscle of system. They respond to Microcontroller’s instructions. Physically adjusts the Solar panel.

COMPONENTS Here we make use of : 1. LDR(Light dependent resistor) : It detects for the maximum intensity. 2. Servo Motor driver : Tilt’s the solar panel to max intensity direction. 3. Arduino UNO : controls the motor and LDR by reading the values in LDR and accordingly rotates the motor. 4. Battery 9V : To provide electric current to the motor. 5. Solar Panel : To generate electricity with maximum efficiency. MOTOR LDR SOLAR PANEL
Connections (Circuit Diagram) Here both LDR’s are connected to different resistors of 1K ohm. We read the fluctuations of resistance due to intensity by ports A0 and A1. Servo motor gets data from 9. Connections are made accordingly as shown in the diagram.
